Chapter 165 Losing a Shoe

Wu Yue's heart began to race.

Despite her fear, she quietly reached into her pocket and touched Cuihua.

A chilling aura enveloped her like the darkness of night. Wu Yue dared not turn her head or utter a sound. Her fingertips touched Cuihua, tapping lightly twice, until that pale, lifeless, long, slender hand climbed onto her shoulder. She pushed it away with her elbow, crouching down and rolling to the side.

"Cuihua! Get it done!"

When Wu Yue, who was squatting on the ground, saw what the other person looked like, she almost gouged out her own eyes. It was too damn scary.

I thought that once I succeeded in the mission, I could say goodbye to the world of horror movie punishments. I never expected that the price of upgrading the live stream would be to play something so terrifying.

That's so damn annoying.

She had lived for tens of thousands of years and never imagined she would be so frightened by a ghost.

[Blind to the truth]

This ghost has no eyeballs. Unlike Yan Chiyu's rather cute female ghost friends, this is a real vengeful spirit.

She held two eyeballs in her hands, from which blood continuously oozed. The female ghost, though eyeless, stared intently at Wu Yue, stuffing eyeballs into her mouth as she ate them, with new ones constantly appearing in her hands after she finished the first two, in an endless cycle.

Wu Yue was using her philtrum to prolong her life...

She stepped back, her heart pounding so hard it felt like a villa could be built inside her.

Cuihua moved on the bathroom floor.

When the boy arrived, all that remained on the ground was Cuihua, torn in two.

His breath hitched.

"Witch Moon!"

"I'm here..."

Wu Yue wasn't in the bathroom. She heard the voice coming from the hallway. "What are you doing here?"

Although she spoke with a tone of doubt, she secretly felt joy.

Her leg accessory! It's finally here!

The boy's disheveled hair clung to his forehead and covered his ears from running so hard, his noble bearing mixed with a hint of panic.

"You...you're alright? Alive?" Yan Chiyu stared at her intently, his voice trembling.

Wu Yue then noticed that the boy was carrying a shoe in his hand, a shoe that should have been on his feet.

He seemed to have run all the way here in a great hurry, so much so that he didn't even have time to put his shoes back on after they fell off.

"I'm still alive. What's wrong? What happened?" Wu Yue asked, puzzled. She had fallen asleep as soon as she entered this world, for no apparent reason.

She had just woken up when she heard Yan Chiyu calling her.

The boy pursed his lips and remained silent.

His peripheral vision swept across the ground, where there used to be two broken pieces of green flower, but now there was nothing there.

He paused for a moment, then asked in a low voice, "Where's Cuihua?"

Wu Yue shook her head. "No. After I came in, not only was Cuihua gone, but even the deer-shaped pendant around my neck was gone."

"Hmm..." Yan Chiyu patted his pocket: "Tiezhu didn't come in either."

"No, you weren't here during the tutoring session either. How did you get in?" Wu Yue asked, puzzled.

"You mean Song Wenzhi and the others came in too?" Yan Chiyu instantly caught another key point. "Are they so stupid that they're still alive?"

"They should still be alive. Yan Chiyu, you still haven't told me how you ended up here." If these people were dragged into this game because of her, no matter the outcome, she would find it hard to feel at ease.

"I was outside at the time. I don't know what happened." Seeing that Wu Yue and Cui Hua were alright, Yan Chiyu slowly exhaled a breath of stale air.

He turned around, tidied his messy hair in front of the bathroom mirror, and then squatted down to put on his shoes.

The boy turned on the tap and washed the handle.

"Walk."

As Yan Chiyu spoke, he put his arm around Wu Yue's shoulder and led her into the corridor.

Wu Yue: ...?

A few breaths later, she felt the cold, eerie energy emanating from the bathroom.

The girl couldn't help but tremble.
