The period immediately following my transformation into a wandering spirit was incredibly difficult.
I feel unwell, unable to speak, and have difficulty seeing.
This period was very long, a very long time. As time passed, a huge void filled his heart. Loneliness, emptiness, and solitude enveloped him, and he was like a blind traveler walking in a desolate valley, with a precipice ahead and an abyss behind.
After Master Tao died, no one could see him again.
He often sat by the fountain in front of the Wind God Temple. Back then, he was still a boy, thin and looking malnourished. In the beginning, the Wind God Temple received very few offerings, unable to sustain his spiritual energy. Who would want to worship a Wind God who was unremarkable, unknown, and without any great achievements?
But then again, though he was called a god, he wasn't a true god, just a wandering soul. Anyway, he'd gotten used to this lonely life; it didn't matter much.
"Brother, why are you dressed so lightly?" A soft, childlike voice, like a hand parting layers of mist, touched his cheek, hot and warm.
Huo Zijing turned her head and saw a six-year-old child. Wearing a thick cotton-padded coat and an adorable cotton hat, the child's soft, warm little hands were poking their face as they tilted their head and asked with concern, "Are you cold?"
She twisted her body and took a coat from the bag trailing behind her, stuffing it into Huo Zijin's arms: "I brought clothes for Dad, but he didn't want them, so you can wear them. Brother, put them on quickly, it's so cold."
Unaware of the shock in the boy's eyes, the child muttered to himself, "It looks like it's going to snow. I'd better hurry home."
The child's bright black eyes darted around, and she suddenly remembered something—she put her hand in her pocket, took out two candies, and held them up to Huo Zijin. "Brother, you must have done something wrong and been kicked out by Mom and Dad, right? It's okay, eating two candies will make you happy when you're unhappy, and then you can go home and apologize to Mom and Dad."
She smiled sweetly, "I often do this, hehe, it's okay, Mom and Dad won't hate their own child. Don't tell anyone I gave you candy, okay? Dad won't let me eat it, he's afraid I'll get cavities, so I took it secretly."
As the child spoke, he bent down and dragged the large bag into the alley.
A tiny, cold snowflake drifted down from the sky. The child's figure gradually disappeared into the snow.
Huo Zijing stared blankly at the child's retreating figure, lost in thought.
The name on the school badge on the clothes...
Tao Yingzhi?
Are they descendants of Master Tao?
He would usually see an old man come to worship him, I think he was Master Tao's son or grandson? But that guy could never see him.
Huo Zijing stared at the vast white horizon, her eyes flashing slightly.
I seem a little happy?

Wu Yue walked up to Tao Yingzhi, flicked her fingertips, and a faint golden light flew into Tao Yingzhi's brow.
The girl's body went limp, and she crouched down.
She lowered her head, tears falling onto her legs. Then, her tightly clenched lips trembled, and she couldn't help but burst into tears, sobbing, "Waaaaah, ah waaaah..."
"Let's go." Yan Chiyu took Wu Yue's hand and gave Bao Xinbao a look, signaling him to stay and handle the aftermath.
[Such a handsome guy, even though he wasn't human, just died like that?]
Sigh, this is making me a little melancholy.
[I want to say, Yanmei loves holding the witch god's hand all the time these days!!! How about that, showing off your love?]
[After all, we can do it openly now. (Evil grin.GIF)]
Standing at the entrance of the Wind God Temple, Wu Yue was somewhat dazed.
If Yunwei and the others hadn't been by her side, participating in the game and receiving those rewards, would she have felt just as helpless when they died?
