Wu Yue thought Tong Chunhan was just making a fuss; after all, many girls are all talk and no action, they'll squeal a couple of times to express their liking for a handsome boy, and then forget about him in a couple of days. Of course, she could understand; the guy opposite her was wearing a military uniform, so his handsomeness definitely increased.
She had such thoughts, so she didn't take it to heart. But she didn't know that Tong Chunhan's seriousness and loyalty were beyond her imagination.
The military training lasted for fifteen days and included drills, housekeeping, military boxing, small-scale live-fire shooting, and a drill performance. Every evening after training, everyone would sing military songs together and attend a national defense education class.
After these announcements were made, the mobilization meeting quickly came to an end.
In mid-September, the sun blazed down relentlessly for half a month.
The first few days of training were relatively simple, involving standing in formation and at attention. Later, they learned marching, goose-stepping, and running. If each squad performed well in these exercises, the instructors would then arrange for everyone to learn grappling or unarmed combat techniques.
Because of her outstanding performance, Wu Yue was specially invited by the instructor to have a friendly competition with the boys' team next door.
While everyone else crowded around, Tong Chunhan stood in the back row, turned around, and admired the officer she liked with a lovesick expression.
The team next to them pushed out Yan Chiyu. Hou Chongqing and the others didn't even have time to stop him, and the expected "She's my girlfriend, I don't want to spar with her" didn't come out.
Two figures suddenly emerged from the origin point and attacked each other.
"Oh my god, these two have obviously trained."
"Yueyue is so cool!!" Su Yanyan whistled in the crowd, practically jumping for joy.
Perhaps because they hadn't fought in a long time, Wu Yue and Yan Chiyu fought with all their might, showing no mercy whatsoever. Their skill and technique, their hooks and twists, left the onlookers stunned.
"Brother Qing, do boyfriends and girlfriends fight this hard? Do they...do they have a grudge?" Huo Wei was dumbfounded.
Ouch! The force was so strong it hurt his arm. He'd been burning up from the sun these past few days, and now it felt like being roasted meat being brutally torn apart by sharp teeth.
"My brother Yan is no ordinary person. He's amazing! If I beat my girlfriend like that, I'd probably have to kneel on durians, instant noodles, and keyboards when I got home, and I'd have to coax her in the end. She might even break up with me, saying things like, 'You don't love me at all.'" Li Hongnan said, dumbfounded and flustered.
Hou Chongqing glanced back at Li Hongnan and said coolly, "Do you even have a girlfriend? Stop daydreaming, okay?"
Li Hongnan bit his fist and whimpered, "Why did you have to speak such blunt truths? It hurts."
Su Yanyan's gaze passed over Wu Yue and landed on Li Hongnan, then she curled her lip. This guy's skin is too pale; he looks effeminate. Ah, looking around, there are quite a few male students in the Finance Department, but not many who are actually in relationships.
Lady Su sighed heavily, fearing she might remain single until the end of the year.
Wu Yue lost, as expected.
The roommates in both dorm rooms looked at Yan Chiyu with pity. Young man, how about an apology and coaxing package?
Yan Chiyu: "?"

Time flies, and the training is both painful and enjoyable.
The last three days of military training consisted of live-fire shooting drills.
While the instructors were teaching the freshmen how to shoot, Tong Chunhan finally took a brave step forward and ran up to the handsome officer she had been longing to meet, hoping to get his contact information. The result—unsurprisingly—was a rejection.
Tong Chunhan wasn't someone who gave up easily. She clenched her small fists to encourage herself, supporting her legs, which were trembling uncontrollably after seeing her idol.
"Instructor! I promise I won't reveal your information. I just want to get to know you. Can we add each other on WeChat? Or you can contact me by phone."
The young instructor had a cold expression, but was extremely polite: "I'm sorry, student, I cannot leave my contact information; it's a rule."
Tong Chunhan gritted her teeth and then squatted down. Just when the young instructor thought she was about to cry after being rejected three times, the girl suddenly raised her hand and handed over a piece of paper.
"Since you can't leave your contact information, here's mine. It contains my WeChat ID, phone number, current address, and hometown address. Please feel free to contact me anytime!"
After Tong Chunhan finished speaking, she stood up and bowed to the young instructor. "Please be sure to contact me, I beg you!"
The young instructor glanced at the girl, his expression unreadable. After Tong Chunhan ran away, he gently rubbed the paper with his left thumb, staring at the beautiful handwriting on it, his eyes flashing slightly.
He never expected that young girls these days would even reveal their place of origin to others. If it's someone with malicious intent, this behavior is far too dangerous.
"Wheels, it's been a long time."
The young instructor slowly turned around, his tense face softening into a faint smile upon seeing the newcomer. His first words were a surprisingly unfamiliar, clear, and cold voice: "Long time no see. Welcome back."
