Just then, a little paper figure climbed onto Que Guanghuai's shoulder and poked his cheek with its tiny hand.
Que Guanghuai turned his head and saw the little one. "Tiezhu? Ah, did Brother Yan send you to urge us? Okay, okay, we'll be right there."
"Excuse me."
Mu Liuguang and Que Guanghuai's eyes met, and they both started walking towards the parking spot.
The thick fog of the night had not yet dissipated, and the daylight was still dim.
Que Guanghuai carried the pitiful family bucket that hadn't been eaten for half an hour in one arm, and took Mu Liuguang's hand with the other as they got into the car.
As soon as I got into the car, the chill of the night was dispelled by the warmth inside.
“Yan—”
Before he could finish speaking, the boy in the back row made a shushing gesture at him expressionlessly.
Que Guanghuai's gaze shifted from his face to his shoulder, to the sleeping Wu Yue.
He silently closed his slightly parted lips, and led Mu Liuguang to sit down slowly, trying not to make too much noise.
Que Guanghuai looked at the family bucket of food. It seemed he couldn't eat it in the car; the sound of chewing and gnawing might wake Wu Yue.
He put the bucket aside, leaned forward in the driver's seat, and whispered, "Uncle Zhang, let's go. Drive slowly."
Driver Uncle Zhang nodded. The car continued at a steady speed.
Wu Yue leaned on Yan Chiyu's shoulder, clutching the corner of someone's clothes, and slept soundly.
The car's interior lights were a deep, warm yellow, and the light was dim. Not to mention, the light was even dimmer in the back seats, and the girl and boy's faces were hidden in shadow and could not be clearly seen.
Yan Chiyu tilted his head slightly, his eyes lowered. The girl's fair face silently came into view. Her breathing was very light; it was almost inaudible unless one listened very carefully. Her raven-feather-like eyelashes drooped gently, thick and long.
Wu Yue frowned slightly. Yan Chiyu thought she was about to wake up, but two minutes passed and she was still asleep.
Wu Yue always felt that her sleep quality was exceptionally good.
I haven't dreamt in a long time. And when I do, they're always beautiful dreams.
This time, however, I felt terrible; it was a nightmare.
She couldn't see who it was, but she remembered that her body was being grabbed and swayed from time to time, as if she were riding a roller coaster, bouncing up and down.
A beautiful finger emerged from the darkness, pinched her cheek, and patted her bottom. Wu Yue was furious; she wanted to hit someone!
But she had no power to resist at all...
Where exactly is this?
"Pervert! Don't touch me!" Wu Yue really wanted to yell that, but she couldn't speak. Even her consciousness seemed to be floating.
Ugh, I got caught again.
Wu Yue felt like one of those dolls in a mall claw machine, waiting for the claws of fate to fall, waiting for a lucky owner to take her away.
The other person seemed to be saying something, but... she couldn't hear a word. Where is everyone? Are they deliberately hiding? Maybe... she could try using her spiritual energy to destroy this place?
Then, Wu Yue woke up just as her hand clenched into a fist, waking up without warning. She opened her eyes, her expression blank for a moment, her vision blurry and dark.
My ears feel like they've been pressed for a long time, and they hurt a bit.
Wu Yue frowned and straightened up. In a daze, she smelled a familiar scent, a blend of ocean and vegetation, a clean and sensual fragrance.
"Yan Xiaoyu?"
She didn't look at the person next to her, but just squinted and unconsciously called out.
Wu Yue's voice was a little hoarse, low, and reached Yan Chiyu's ears. The boy immediately responded, "I'm here."
He turned his head, looked at the girl's bewildered expression, and laughed mischievously, "Awake?...Hey. You were drooling all over me while you were sleeping."
"fart!"
Wu Yue blurted it out.
Then, the car fell silent... completely silent.
