Chapter 5 Nickname: Yuanyuan

Chapter 5 Nickname: Yuanyuan

Ye Wanxi and her companion subconsciously looked up in the direction of the sound and saw five or six tall, burly bodyguards in black rushing out from around the corner, looking around anxiously, seemingly searching for something.

But soon, the group's attention was drawn to the little rabbit in Ye Wanxi's arms, and they ran excitedly toward them.

Upon seeing this, Gao Min's expression changed slightly. She subconsciously shielded Ye Wanxi behind her, looking warily at the tall, imposing men rushing towards her.

Fortunately, these people seemed to realize their abruptness and stopped a few steps away from Ye Wanxi and her companion to show that they were harmless.

"Miss, the rabbit you're holding belongs to our boss. Could you please give it back to us?"

Ye Wanxi wasn't afraid. She squinted at the leader for a moment before asking quietly, "What evidence do you have?"

"What?"

"You say this rabbit belongs to your boss, what proof do you have? You can't just say it's yours and call it yours, can you?"

“This…” The bodyguard thought for a moment, “This rabbit has a small tag around its neck, which my boss specially commissioned to be made, and it has its name on it.”

"A tag?" Ye Wanxi reached out and touched it, and sure enough, she found a tiny tag on the little guy's neck.

Lop-eared rabbits are already small, and this little sign is even more pitifully small.

Ye Wanxi struggled to read what was written on it...

"Round...round?"

Is it a coincidence?

Ye Wanxi was momentarily dazed, but only for a brief moment.

There are countless people in the world with the same name, let alone such an ordinary nickname, and this lop-eared rabbit is naturally round.

Ye Wanxi lowered her eyes to hide her disappointment and rubbed the rabbit's fluffy little neck: "Little rabbit, do you know them?"

The little rabbit chased after Ye Wanxi's hand and rubbed against it, making happy purring sounds.

Although he did not give a clear answer, he did not show any hostility or resistance towards the bodyguards.

Ye Wanxi, who was already used to being asked for her pet by all sorts of adorable animal owners, smiled faintly, rubbed the little rabbit again, and handed it over.

The bodyguard felt like he'd been granted a pardon and rushed forward to take the rabbit back.

Surprisingly, the little rabbit, which had been lying limply and only knew how to act cute, suddenly bristled after realizing that Ye Wanxi wanted to hand it over to someone else.

While clinging tightly to Ye Wanxi's sleeve, he kept spitting air at the bodyguard.

"Coo coo...coo coo...hiss hiss—"

Ye Wanxi: “…”

Bodyguard: "..."

The atmosphere became a little awkward. Ye Wanxi coughed lightly and tried to put the little rabbit directly into the bodyguard's hand.

Unexpectedly, the little guy was quite stubborn. Even when he was grabbed by the bodyguard, his short legs kept kicking his hands, and his little body tried hard to reach towards Ye Wanxi.

This little dumpling is the boss's new favorite. Even the bodyguard didn't dare to hold it too hard, for fear of hurting it. He could only look to Ye Wanxi for help.

Feeling guilty under his gaze, Ye Wanxi reached out and tapped the little dumpling's head that was peeking out, pressing it back into the bodyguard's hand so as not to be accused of kidnapping someone else's pet.

"Be good, or I won't like you anymore."

Bodyguards: "..."

Gao Min: "..." It's as if this rabbit can understand human speech!
