Chapter 77
While the Nine Nether Demon Lord was indeed a formidable enemy in the past, the primordial demonic energy that dissipated after her fall still possessed an extremely high level of power. If she were to thoroughly refine, decompose, and restore it to its original state with her pure divine power, she could not only completely eliminate its pollution of this world but also extract the purest chaotic energy, close to the origin of the world, to nourish her depleted divine essence and her collapsing symbiotic space!
Exorcising evil spirits is a meritorious deed, and refining demonic energy is a reward! The more Xuan Yin Sect collects, the better! This isn't a menace; it's clearly a "transportation captain" delivering packages to her!
“From now on, the Xuan Yin Sect will be my ‘granary of merit’,” Zhuo Hua murmured, the divine power at his fingertips suddenly becoming intense and pure!
The azure magic crystal hissed softly in her palm, like ice and snow encountering their nemesis. Pure and vast golden divine power enveloped it, like a furnace refining gold. The deep azure on the crystal's surface faded and diluted at a visible speed, forcibly extracting wisps of incredibly pure, yet primordial, pale golden light mist! This mist was extremely fine, yet contained unimaginable vitality and primordial power!
In just a few breaths, the magic crystal vanished completely, leaving not even a trace. In Zhuohua's palm, only a wisp of pale golden chaotic energy, thinner than a hair but enough to invigorate her entire spirit, remained, instantly disappearing into her body.
She looked up at the vast, empty, frozen world around her. A thought stirred within her.
Rumble—!
The immense divine power supporting this vast frozen area was instantly withdrawn! Without the absolute restraint of the divine power, the seawater, which had been forcibly frozen in shape, instantly lost its support!
Like a toppled tower of blocks, or a collapsing snow mountain, huge icicles and frozen icebergs, under the immense pressure of the water and their own gravity, emitted a deafening roar and began to disintegrate and shatter at an astonishing speed! Countless ice crystal fragments fell like a torrential rain, and were rapidly melted and diluted by the warm seawater as they sank.
The icy blue faded, and the inky black returned. Huge blocks of ice crumbled, transforming into countless tiny ice crystals and bubbles, like billions of tiny diamonds, tumbling and rising in the newly flowing, deep blue sea, refracting the increasingly bright sunlight streaming down from above. Frozen schools of fish and seaweed regained their freedom; their stiff bodies softened again, swaying their tails or branches, swimming away in a panicked and bewildered manner.
Within minutes, the enormous ice palace that had once imprisoned the terrifying monster had vanished without a trace. The deep sea gently refilled every inch of space, flowing slowly and powerfully with its timeless rhythm. Sunlight pierced through the increasingly shallow water, filling the field of vision with its azure hue once more. Apart from a faint, refreshing scent lingering in the seawater, a scent purified by divine power, there was nothing else amiss.
Monsters, malevolent spirits, ice... all traces vanished. The sea returned to its clear, azure blue.
Seeing its master had dealt with the bad guy, Frostfeather returned to its carefree self. It flapped its wings, circling Zhuohua twice gracefully, its icy tail feathers tracing dreamlike streaks of light in the clear seawater, emitting a cheerful, boastful chirp: "Chirp! Chirp chirp!" (Master! The bad guy is gone! The sea is beautiful again! Isn't Frostfeather awesome?)
Looking at its smug little face, Zhuohua felt a corner of the perpetual ice in the depths of her eyes melt away in the sunlight, revealing a faint, almost imperceptible warmth. She reached out a finger and gently tapped Shuangling's cool, smooth little head that had come closer.
"Hmm, not bad." The tone was still cool, but the usual aloofness was gone.
Upon receiving the master's stingy "not bad," Shuangling felt as if she had won the lottery. Overjoyed, she rolled around in the seawater, stirring up a string of sparkling bubbles.
When the woman and her phoenix leisurely strolled along the soft sand, basking in the warm, renewed sunshine, back to the guesthouse bathed in golden light, they were greeted by almost frenzied cheers and immense joy at surviving a catastrophe.
Director Chen was the first to rush forward, but this time he was wiser. He stopped abruptly a meter away from Zhuohua, his fat face plastered with an extremely obsequious smile. He rubbed his hands together and bent over at almost a ninety-degree angle: "Master Zhuohua! You're finally back! You've worked so hard! The sea... the sea over there..." he asked cautiously, his eyes filled with awe and anticipation.
"It's resolved." Zhuohua said succinctly, her gaze sweeping over everyone. Following her gaze, the enormous golden light shield that enveloped the entire guesthouse, radiating warmth and a sense of security, vanished silently into the air like a bubble, leaving only a few scattered golden glimmers that flickered briefly in the sunlight before disappearing completely.
"Oh—!" The crowd erupted in heartfelt cheers once again. The disappearance of the light shield meant the crisis was completely over! The enormous gloom that had hung over their hearts finally dissipated. Several emotional female guests even hugged each other and cried with joy.
Old Chen was so excited that he was incoherent: "Great! Great! Master, you are truly our second parents! A living god! This program... this program..." He glanced at the mess of equipment behind him and the still-shaken guests, then looked at the blue sea in the distance that had just swallowed the terrifying monster, but now appeared incredibly calm and beautiful. A bitter smile, more painful than crying, appeared on his face.
He stomped his foot sharply, as if making a firm decision: "No! This show can't be filmed like this! It's too eerie! Too scary! The equipment is ruined, and everyone's terrified! We have to start over! We absolutely have to start over! The script has to be completely rewritten! Safety measures have to be maxed out!" He turned to Zhuohua and Lu Xiao, his face plastered with a cautious, almost ingratiating smile, "Teacher Zhuohua, Teacher Lu, what do you two think... how about we call it a day? Everyone can go back and rest properly to calm down! I'll immediately gather the planning team and rearrange the script! Once the new plan is out, it'll be absolutely safe and comfortable, then we'll invite you two to come! The fee! The fee will be the highest standard! Double! Triple, whatever!"
Old Chen patted his chest and guaranteed, spitting as he spoke. Having experienced the terror of being on the brink of death and witnessed the "miracle," all he wanted now was to comfortably enshrine this true Buddha. As for the program? It had to be changed so that not even a scary crab could be included!
Zhuohua had no objection to the arrangement, only nodding slightly. Lu Xiao then walked to her side at the right moment, standing guard, and said to the director, "Director Chen, just make the arrangements. Safety first."
The private jet's engines roared smoothly as it pierced the clouds on its return journey.
Zhuohua sat by the window, her profile framed by the flowing sea of clouds outside the porthole, appearing somewhat nonchalant. Lu Xiao sat beside her, a script on his lap, his gaze occasionally falling on her with silent concern. The assistant and other staff members tactfully sat a little further away, leaving them some space.
However, this tranquility was soon broken.
"Chirp chirp chirp! Chirp chirp!"
A streak of icy blue lightning flashed merrily through the cabin! Frostfeather, shrunk to the size of a parrot, was filled with wonder at everything on the plane. First, it tilted its head, studying the clouds outside the window for a long time, its little eyes full of confusion (Why can't I catch this cotton candy?). Then, its entire attention was drawn to the Coke can, bubbling with tiny bubbles, that the flight attendant had just placed on the tray table.
That black liquid, with bubbles rising and bursting...it looks so fun!
Taking advantage of the moment when Zhuohua closed her eyes to rest, Shuangling swooped down and landed precisely beside the cola can, curiously pecking at the can with her little beak. "Pop!" With a soft sound, the pull tab was accidentally pecked open!
laugh--!
A large amount of bubbles mixed with icy black liquid gushed out!
"Chirp—!!!" Frostfeather was so frightened that it let out a shrill scream. Its feathers stood on end, making it look like a fluffy blue dandelion! Instinctively, it picked up the still-gushing Coke can and flew around the cabin in a panic!
"Pfft!" "Ouch!" "My God!"
Black cola liquid sprayed everywhere like a runaway fountain, following Frostfeather's erratic flight path! The cabin ceiling, expensive leather seats, a laptop screen that an assistant had just opened... all instantly vanished! The cabin erupted in screams and frantic scrambling for cover!
Zhuohua was awakened by the noise. When she opened her eyes, she saw Shuangling carrying the "fountain" generator and creating a chaotic scene of "celestial maidens scattering cola" in the cabin. The vein on her forehead started throbbing again, and an impulse to shove this stupid bird back into its egg arose spontaneously.
"Frost, Feather!" The two words were squeezed out from between his teeth, carrying a chilling intent.
Frostfeather, who was frantically "dropping bombs," suddenly froze, its small body suspended in mid-air for a second. Its icy blue eyes met its master's fiery gaze, instantly overflowing with grievance and accusation: "Chirp...chirp chirp chirp!" (Master! It was that Blackwater who started it! It sprayed me! How scary!)
Startled, it immediately released its grip. The Coke can fell onto the carpet with a clatter, still spewing out its last bit of foam.
Zhuohua's face darkened, and she pointed a finger into the air. A barely perceptible golden light flashed, and the spilled cola liquid, as if time had reversed, quickly detached from the carpet, seats, and computer screens, coalescing into a suspended black water sphere. With another wave of her hand, the water sphere, along with the empty can, flew precisely into a distant trash can. The mess in the cabin vanished instantly, leaving only a faint, cloying sweet smell as proof of the farce that had just occurred.
"If you touch anything again, you'll be locked up in solitary confinement." Zhuohua glanced coldly at Shuangling, who was curled up in the corner of the luggage rack, with only her big, wet eyes showing, her tone completely indifferent.
Frostfeather let out a pitiful "chirp" and buried its little head in its wings.
