Xu Zhiming found it quite agreeable.
He gave the little penguin to Chi Cheese to play with, and then went to do other things.
Chi Nao couldn't wait to take a few pictures of the little penguin and send them to Qin Yuanyao to share her new toy.
"Sister Qin, isn't this little penguin cute? Uncle Xu made it himself and gave it to me." Chi Nao sent a voice message to Qin Yuanyao in a cute and innocent tone.
Today happens to be the opening ceremony for Qin Yuanyao's new drama.
This is a period drama, and Qin Yuanyao plays the second female lead, who is an antagonist.
Compared to the female lead's initial innocence and kindness followed by her later descent into darkness, the second female lead is a beautiful and sassy villain whose intelligence remains consistently high.
The reason this role was chosen is because both Qin Yuanyao and Yao Mu felt it was more challenging. Although it's the second female lead, if portrayed well, it could easily become a breakout role.
The second female lead has quite a few scenes, and Qin Yuanyao will soon be participating in the live broadcast of the third season of "Little Family," which will keep her away from the set for several days.
In order not to delay the production schedule, Qin Yuanyao's scenes were concentrated in the early stages of filming.
Therefore, as soon as the opening ceremony ended, Qin Yuanyao plunged into a busy filming schedule.
By the time she saw the photos and voice messages sent by Chi Nao, it was already afternoon.
"Wow, so cute!" Qin Yuanyao echoed, sending a voice message.
Chi Nao quickly replied, "Sister Qin, have you been very busy lately? I've been playing at my great-grandfather's house for two days now."
"Yes, my sister is busy filming," Qin Yuanyao replied. "Is it fun at your great-grandfather's house?"
"It's fun! But it would be even more fun if Sister Qin were here!"
Qin Yuanyao smiled and said, "I'll play with you after I finish my work."
"Okay!" Chi Nai replied softly, no longer disturbing her mother's work.
...
Every morning after getting up, Chi Naoqi takes a walk in the neighborhood with Grandpa Chi, along with her little penguin.
The grandparents, uncles, and aunts in the villa area all know her.
Every morning, she and Grandpa Chi would run into Grandpa Song, who was taking a walk alone, in the neighborhood.
A few days later, they ran into Grandpa Song taking Song Shangce for a walk.
Song Shangce's proud little face still showed reluctance, but his neck looked completely healed.
When Chi Nao saw him, she exclaimed with delight, "Your neck is all better!"
Song Shangce glanced at her coldly, then slowly turned his neck away, averting his gaze.
Chi Nao looked at his actions and asked in confusion, "Is your neck still not better?"
Grandpa Song replied, "Alright. Alright, I'll take him out for a walk with me to keep him healthy."
"But why does he still twist his neck like a robot after he's better?" Chi Nao tilted her head in confusion.
Looking at his grandson's awkward expression, Grandpa Song sneered, "It's probably a side effect; he's probably twisted his neck again."
Chi Nao nodded in agreement. "He should exercise. If he can twist his neck, his health must be very poor."
Grandpa Song nodded. "That's right. I asked him to take a walk with me, but he was very reluctant."
"Once he twists his neck a few more times and realizes how bad it is to be in poor health, he'll be willing to accept it," Chi Nao said in a childish voice.
Grandpa Song nodded repeatedly, "That's a good idea."
Song Shangce slowly turned his neck back. "?"
Are you still my grandfather?
Are you two devils?
When Grandpa Song saw the little penguin in Chi Nai's hand, he exclaimed in surprise, "Nai, your penguin is so cute! Did you make it yourself?"
"Isn't it cute!" Chi Nao Cheese smiled and showed everyone her little penguin. "I didn't make it! It was made by Uncle Xu, my great-grandfather's butler."
Grandpa Song nodded. "Well done."
"Yes, right?" Chi Nao's eyebrows twitched with happiness.
She noticed Song Shangce staring at the little penguin in her hand, looking thoughtful, and assumed that Song Shangce had taken a liking to her little penguin toy and wanted to play with it too, so she quickly hid the little penguin behind her back.
This guy is annoying. He ignores her when she talks to him. She doesn't want to share her toys with him!
Song Shangce noticed Chi Nao's actions and realized that Chi Nao had misunderstood that he wanted to play with her toys, leaving him speechless.
He wouldn't play with such childish toys!
He was simply wondering how the penguin did it.
Seeing the interaction between the two children, Grandpa Song laughed heartily. "Shang Ce also likes to make his own toys. He has made toys using cardboard and wooden blocks. He has even made his own claw machine."
Chi Nai was surprised: "Like a claw machine the size of one in a shopping mall?"
"No, no, he can't make a claw machine that big right now. He made a smaller version," Grandpa Song gestured with his hand to show the size, "and it works just as well as the claw machines in the mall."
"A smaller version? How small?" Chi Naozi gestured like Grandpa Song, her big eyes filled with great confusion.
"Shang Ce, do you want to take Cheese to see the claw machine you made?" Grandpa Song asked.
Song Shangce replied coldly, "Okay."
Let her see what toys he usually plays with, so the little brat won't mistakenly think he wants to play with her childish penguin.
Chi Cheese also turned cold, turning her face away. "No need. I don't like to force others."
Grandpa Chi nodded in satisfaction when he saw that his great-granddaughter had such backbone.
“Shang Ce, you were so cold to Cheese before. Cheese thought you didn’t actually want him to see the claw machine you made, and that you only agreed reluctantly,” said Grandpa Song.
“I didn’t force you,” Song Shangce said.
Chi Nao let out a "heh," keeping her face turned away and not glancing at Song Shangce.
Anyone can lie!
“I didn’t lie,” Song Shangce defended himself.
"Then you mentioned cheese, I'll invite you to see the claw machine I made. I'll come." Chi Cheese crossed her arms, looking both adorable and cool.
Song Shangce "..."
Song Shangce's face darkened.
But since he really didn't want the little brat to misunderstand that he wanted to play with her childish little penguin, he pursed his lips and reluctantly spoke.
"Cheese...I...invite you...to see the claw machine I made."
These words were squeezed out of Song Shangce's mouth almost like toothpaste, but they still astonished Old Master Song.
He knows his grandson too well; just like his father, he's stubborn, grumpy, and inflexible.
He's just a five-year-old kid, but he's always expressionless like a five-hundred-year-old. He's not interested in this or that, he's incredibly stubborn, and he has a lot of his own opinions.
He wouldn't listen to his grandfather, let alone his parents.
Old Master Song really didn't expect that Song Shangce would actually do as he was told.
This must be the legendary "one thing subdues another".
