Chapter 8: Sensible Son

There was a noise downstairs.

Qi Yao vaguely heard his mother complaining: "Why are you drinking like this again? You really are... Oh, don't you know that drinking is harmful to your health!"

Qi Yao hurried downstairs to check the situation.

My father was drunk at the moment and was brought back by the hotel manager.

While complaining, my mother said, "Just put him on the sofa," and went into the kitchen to make sobering tea.

Qi Yao stepped forward: "Uncle Zhang! Why is my dad drunk again?"

Manager Zhang was full of helplessness: "Xiao Yao, your dad had a banquet at an old classmate's house. He might be happy and drank a little too much. Your mom seems angry. Please take good care of him and don't let him catch a cold."

Qi Yao nodded: "Okay, I understand, I will take good care of my dad. Thank you Uncle Zhang for sending my dad back."

Manager Zhang: "It's my duty."

Manager Zhang glanced towards the kitchen, not daring to offend the boss lady. He whispered a greeting to Qi Yao and quickly evacuated with his colleagues.

Qi Yao looked at his father who was reeking of alcohol, which was so stinking that he was afraid that his mother would be really angry.

He quickly went upstairs to get a change of clothes, then ran to get a basin of hot water. He rubbed the towel, wrung it out, and wiped his father's cheeks, neck, and ears clean. He wiped him two or three times before starting to wipe his father's hands, arms, and arms.

I've only wiped a little bit and the water is already muddy.

Qi Yao ran to change the water and came back to unbutton his father's shirt and wipe his body clean.

Wendy happened to come out of the kitchen at this moment, and when she saw her son taking care of her husband, her anger immediately subsided.

You see, as long as there is a sensible person in the family, the family will never break up.

She went forward to help her son, taking off her husband's clothes and putting on clean ones for him.

Wendy was just a supporting role throughout the whole process.

Seeing her son washing and changing clothes for her husband meticulously and attentively, she couldn't help but feel relieved at his dedication.

I don’t have to worry about my son’s studies. He has good living habits and is filial and sensible.

What a divine son!

"Don't ever drink like your dad! The doctor says he has fatty liver, and if he keeps drinking like this, he's simply courting death!"

After changing her husband's smelly clothes, Wendy threw them directly into the basin and took them away.

Qi Yao looked at her back and smiled: "Mom, I don't drink alcohol, and I don't like the smell of cigarettes, don't worry!"

Qi Xixing, who was half asleep, suddenly chuckled and raised his hand to point at Qi Yao: "A puff of cigarette after dinner makes you feel as happy as a god! You don't understand!"

Qi Yao was surprised: "Dad, you are not drunk?"

Wenda's furious roar came roaring: "If you're not drunk, get up quickly! Drink the sobering tea! You're the boss and you let your son serve you instead! Are you missing an arm or a leg?"

Qi Xixing shrank his neck, sat up quickly, picked up the hangover tea on the coffee table and drank it all in one gulp.

Qi Yao smiled helplessly: "Dad, why didn't you tell me earlier that you weren't drunk."

Qi Xixing lay comfortably: "Isn't this a rare opportunity for you to serve me?"

He picked up the TV remote control, turned it on, picked up a random war movie and started watching.

Qi Yao sat beside him to keep him company.

His father loves watching war movies, no matter whether they are about the Anti-Japanese War, the Korean War, or spy wars. As long as the Communist Party plays tricks on the Japanese or defeats the Japanese, his father loves to watch them.

Wendy washed some of her husband's smelly clothes.

She worked quickly and quickly returned to look at her husband. "By the way, I've already told Xiaoyao about his grandfather's celebration banquet. The Qi family will send a driver to pick him up the day after tomorrow morning."

Qi Yao held a box of strawberries and sat next to Qi Runze, eating while carefully observing his father's reaction.

He has no problem with his grandfather.

Moreover, as a grandson, he has no right to question too much about what his elders did in the past.

Since his grandfather still thought of him and his parents agreed to let him contact his grandfather, he went.

But if his parents don't want him to, he definitely won't go to see his grandfather.

Qi Xixing sat still, staring at the TV with an expressionless face, but a very soft voice echoed in the air: "Hmm."

That's what he knew.

Wen Dai sat aside and said, "I told Xiao Yao that if Grandpa wants him to stay for a few more days, then he can stay a few more days. If Grandpa doesn't want him to stay, then he can come back."

Qi Xixing: "Yeah."

Wen Dai breathed a sigh of relief and looked at Qi Yao: "Your grandfather is old, so you should be polite when you go there. Pay more attention to his health. Your grandfather is very busy at work, so don't delay his work when the time comes."

Qi Yao said obediently: "Okay, I understand."

The next day, Qi Yao studied hard at home.

Whether it was matters related to the driving school or preparing for freshman courses, he made reasonable arrangements.

Unfortunately, the cycling senior never replied to his text message.

Qi Yao guessed that the senior student was probably embarrassed to charge him tuition.

He remembered the road bike that his senior sister rode. Although it was not as good as his, it cost more than 400,000 yuan, which showed that her family was not short of money.

But if the senior student doesn’t charge, he would feel embarrassed to ask her to take online classes!

Both sides felt embarrassed, so they could only stay like this.

afternoon.

Qi Zheng's housekeeper called Qi Yao and asked if he could come over in the afternoon.

Qi Yao seemed a little reserved on the phone.

"This afternoon?"

"Yes, Mr. Qi has been working overtime these days just to free up two days to spend time with you, so he wants to have dinner with you tonight."

The housekeeper specifically expressed Qi Zheng's concern for him.
