Chapter 12: Sweet childhood sweetness (12)

The filming only took half a day, and although Chu Yanyan wanted to go with his grandmother, he felt a little out of place when he thought of the woman just now and his grandmother's biological granddaughter. After all, the person his grandmother wanted to see was her biological son, wasn't she?

Thinking of this, Chu Yanyan felt a little sad, but on the surface he still had to pretend to be calm: "I'll go clean up the room for you."

There are four rooms in this old house. Chu Yanyan and Grandma Chu live in one each, and the other two are reserved for their son to stay for one night when he comes back for the New Year.

Chu An thought about the room that he hadn't been in for many years and thought it must be very dusty. He refused: "No, I'll just find a hotel in town to rest tonight."

"Oh." Chu Yanyan said no more.

Chu Yanyan walked to the small kitchen, ready to wash the pot and cook, and Shen Qihe went over to help.

Xu Jingjing saw the small kitchen. There was no refrigerator, only cupboards, and it looked like there weren't many dishes. She looked at Chu An and said, "Dad, let's just go out to eat. There's nothing good to eat here." If they didn't deliver food here, she wouldn't have gone out either.

"That's fine." Chu An looked at Chu Yanyan who was about to prepare dinner: "Yanyan, you don't have to cook. Let's go out to eat."

"I also have to cook for grandma." Chu Yanyan replied.

Xu Jingjing rolled her eyes at Chu Yanyan and said, "Can't we just buy it at a restaurant outside?"

“…”That’s true.

Chu Yanyan put down the rice pot and looked at Shen Qihe who was about to wash the vegetables for him: “Brother, you go back first.”

Shen Qihe put down the things in his hands, washed his hands, wiped them on his clothes, lowered his head and rubbed Chu Yanyan's hair, his tone gentle: "Okay, then I'll go back first. Remember to get up early tomorrow."

"Okay, goodbye, brother."

Seeing that Chu Yanyan was fine, Shen Qihe picked up his schoolbag and walked out.

After the boy walked out, Xu Jingjing retracted her gaze and looked at Chu Yanyan who was standing aside: "Hey, what was the name of that guy just now? Is he your classmate? Why did you call him brother?"
