Chapter 25 Vampire's Sweet "Chicken Drumstick" 25

Chu Yanyan stood aside holding a flashlight and watched Zhuang Danran pry open the wooden board and see a wooden box inside. He carefully moved it out and opened the box. There were a lot of things inside.

Zhuang Danran saw what he wanted to see, picked it up and opened it.

As he turned more pages, his expression grew darker.

"What's wrong?" Chu Yanyan looked curiously. He walked over and wanted to see what was written inside.

Zhuang Danran slammed it shut, staring at Chu Yanyan with a deep gaze: "Yanyan, if I were a sinner, would you still be with me?"

Chu Yanyan listened to his confusing question and answered without hesitation: "As long as it's you, I will be with you."

"Okay, you said it." Zhuang Danran was relieved.

"What's written on it that makes you like this?"

"nothing."

Zhuang Danran was unwilling to say.

Chu Yanyan didn't make things difficult for him.

Zhuang Danran found some things, then took Chu Yanyan out to visit the grave where his mother was buried.

night.

Zhuang Danran found a clean house to live in.

The two did not do that, but snuggled together after taking a shower.

Zhuang Danran was full of worries.

Chu Yanyan got words from the system.

During his mother's pregnancy, his grandfather, Chekhov, stopped traveling for business and instead bought a house in the small town of Suda to provide his daughter with a safe place to live. Chekhov, unhappy with Skana's unmarried pregnancy, found a potential matchmaker for her. The matchmaker, eager for Chekhov's fortune, agreed to the marriage.

When Skana gave birth, the "Taken Man" took away Chekhov's property. After Skana gave birth, she learned of this and became even more ill. Before her death, she strongly requested her father not to abandon Zhuang Danran. Because of his daughter's affairs, Chekhov had aged significantly. His body was no longer as strong as it had been in his youth. He could only rely on his own savings to support Zhuang Danran. At the same time, he asked an old friend's son to inquire about the child's biological father when he went to the East for business.

This inquiry made him know the mysterious identity of the oriental man that Skana fell in love with, and that he was plagued by bad luck.

Chekhov wanted to kill Zhuang Danran, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. He could only write about his frustrations in his diary. He still raised Zhuang Danran for ten years. Over time, the illnesses he had accumulated in his youth became more serious in his old age. Coupled with the taunts of his wife, who had become a vampire, Chekhov passed away.

Chu Yanyan listened to the system's prompts and understood that the diary contained Zhuang Danran's life experience, which was why Zhuang Danran's behavior was strange.

He caressed Zhuang Danran's cheek, tilted his neck up, kissed the young man's forehead, and whispered, "I'm here."
