Chapter 4: Sweet childhood sweetness (4)

Shen Qihe's mother came over and comforted her with good food and drink, and only then did Chu Yanyan stop crying.

It was from that time that Chu Yanyan began to pester Shen Qihe.

Until now, 4 years have passed.

When Chu Yanyan caught up, he saw Shen Qihe’s tall figure standing in the crowd of people at the breakfast bun shop from a distance, and he quickly ran over.

Shen Qihe bought two cups of soy milk and two large meat buns.

Chu Yanyan squeezed through the crowd, walked to Shen Qihe, tugged at the corner of Shen Qihe's clothes, bit his index finger, and stared at the soy milk in Shen Qihe's hand.

Shen Qihe took the change and stuffed it into his trouser pocket. He had already noticed the movement next to him and turned to look at Chu Yanyan.

“Brother, are there no carrot-filled buns today?” Chu Yanyan and Shen Qihe looked at each other and asked softly.

Shen Qihe replied: "No, I'm late. We only have meat-filled ones." The ones with meat filling are more expensive than other buns, so few people would buy the expensive meat buns.

"Oh." A flash of disappointment appeared in Chu Yanyan's eyes, but soon they lit up again. The meat buns were also very good!

There were quite a lot of customers in the bun shop, so Shen Qihe grabbed Chu Yanyan's soft little hand and walked out of the crowded crowd.

When they reached a place with fewer people, Shen Qihe half-knelt down and gave him a portion of meat buns from the bag.

After Chu Yanyan received it, she first thanked him, and her previous resentment towards Shen Qihe disappeared. Xiao Qi was right. Her brother was just cold on the outside but warm on the inside. Look, she even bought him buns.

After getting the buns, he couldn't wait to tear open the plastic bag. Although he was originally a vegetarian and didn't like eating meat, he was forced by Shen Qihe to stuff a mouthful of meat.

Oh, yummy!

It smells so good.

Chu Yanyan took big bites of the fermented and soft meat buns. The key point was that when she bit into the filling, the gravy blended into the sweet dough, which made people's appetite grow.

Shen Qihe watched Chu Yanyan's cheeks bulge as she ate, like a cute hamster. He picked up another bun and started eating. He checked his watch and saw that there were still more than ten minutes left.

Chu Yanyan stopped eating halfway, staring at Shen Qihe without moving his eyes.

Seeing that he didn’t eat anymore, Shen Qihe thought Chu Yanyan was full: “What’s wrong?”

"Thirsty." Chu Yanyan said, staring at the soy milk in Shen Qihe's hand.

"Oh." It turned out that he was not looking at me, but the soy milk in my hand.

Shen Qihe helped Chu Yanyan insert the straw before handing it to him.

Chu Yanyan took the soy milk and handed the remaining half of the meat bun to Shen Qihe: “Brother, I can’t finish it, I’ll solve it for you.”

Although it sounded like he was just a garbage recycler, Shen Qihe couldn't stand Chu Yanyan's soft voice. He had long been accustomed to it. He took the half bun, put it in his mouth, and took a bite along the mark left by the boy: "Let's go."

"Hold Qian." Chu Yanyan held the soy milk in one hand, biting the straw, and grabbed Shen Qihe's hand with the other hand.

Chen Qihe looked at Chu Yanyan's innocent face, which was as pure as paper. Her thoughts were all shown on her face, which made people want to tease her. If he didn't bully her, he would feel itchy inside. He suppressed the strange thoughts in his heart, pursed his lips and hummed: "Hmm."

A smile appeared on Chu Yanyan's face.

A big one and a small one walked towards their destination in the golden sunshine.

After the queue was disbanded in the morning, Chu Yanyan went out one step earlier than Shen Qihe. He stood by the school wall, carrying his small schoolbag, waiting for Shen Qihe to come out.

After Shen Qihe came out, he looked around, finally locked onto his target, and walked towards Chu Yanyan.

The little guy was facing the wall, with his little feet raised and waving in the air, mumbling to himself.

Shen Qihe walked over and gently patted the boy on the back of his head.

Feeling pain on the back of his head, Chu Yanyan turned to look at the person behind him and cried out in grievance, "Brother, why are you slapping me?"

Shen Qihe smiled slightly: “How long have I been standing behind you, and you didn’t notice me.”

"How would I know if you didn't say anything?" Chu Yanyan felt aggrieved.

Shen Qihe was choked up, what he said was true.

However, Chu Yanyan didn't feel wronged for long. He grabbed the hand that was bigger than his own and said, "Brother, let's go home~"

"Um."
