The woman's rosy lips curled up in a soft chuckle. "Are you surprised to see me here? Zhuang, I'm glad to see you too. I never thought we'd meet in this kind of setting after more than a decade."
Zhuang Danran suppressed the shock and anxiety brought about by the appearance of this woman. His face was solemn, but the strange emotion in his eyes betrayed his current mood.
He stared at her slender fingers holding the wine glass, his eyes scanning the lavishly decorated room. He considered the woman's current status and smiled, "Are you doing this just to get the life you have now?"
"Of course." She still showed a noble and aristocratic smile.
"Oh." Zhuang Danran no longer asked about the past and shrugged.
"I heard that you have a weapon that can destroy the vampires." The woman drank the liquid in the cup in one gulp, put it down, supported herself on the sofa and stood up, her black dress swaying with it.
"Of course." Zhuang Danran admitted.
She walked lightly to Zhuang Danran, raised her hand to touch his face, but he stepped back, and her hand was in vain. She pulled the corner of her mouth slightly, retracted her hand, placed it gracefully, and said,
"Zhuang, are you going to go against me and those humans?"
"Are you saying you're not human? Oh, by the way, you became a vampire for your so-called looks." There was obvious rejection on Zhuang Danran's face.
The woman stroked her face and said, "So what? At least I am still as young as I was back then, and that old man has long been buried in the ground." There was contempt in her tone as she spoke the last part.
As if a sensitive topic was touched upon, the air froze instantly.
Zhuang Danran's face darkened: "Is this the reason you want to tell me this?"
The woman was stunned. She gracefully turned and walked over to the black coffin engraved with gold threads. Her long, pointed nails scratched against it, making a slight, sharp sound. When Zhuang Danran grew impatient, she finally spoke, "Since it's you, I warn you not to meddle in other people's business. You can do your own thing, and don't even think about challenging us vampires on behalf of humanity."
Zhuang Danran chuckled, "I never thought of representing humanity. I only acted for my own benefit. Now that you've spoken so seriously, it seems my abilities frighten you."
"They're only afraid of the weapon in your hand. Now that the weapon is no longer with you, those people can't use it. In order for the vampires to occupy this place, I have to let you stay in my castle as a guest for now."
As the woman spoke, she flicked the ends of her hair and curled her fingers slightly. The bat that had been resting by the window flew in, transformed into a human form, stood in front of the woman, and respectfully called out, "Madam."
"Arrange the most comfortable room for this guest."
"yes."
The servant responded and opened the door: "Sir, please come this way."
Zhuang Danran pursed his lips, took one last look at her, and walked out. But before leaving, he left a word: "Can't use it?"
There was sarcasm in his tone.
The woman was gently questioned by him, but her pretty face still maintained a dignified expression.
The servant closed the door gently.
The woman walked back to the soft sofa and sat down, crossing her legs. Her dress lifted slightly as she lifted her legs. She glanced at the empty wall below the lamp and said lazily, "Since you've already appeared, why don't you show up?"
As he finished speaking, a man in a black robe appeared standing by the previously empty wall. His long silver-white hair was tied into a high ponytail. His dark eyes were filled with thought. After being stared at by the woman, he finally raised his head and looked at her. "Slavs?"
