Chapter 25 Dialogue

"Uncle Wang, stop knocking on the door. She might not come out again tonight."

Li Changle felt that this guy was a bit noisy, originally because of Wang Siyi's matter.

I was in a bad mood, so I simply stopped his meaningless behavior.

Wang Weimin obviously also knew that Wang Siyi was serious this time.

He nodded and came to Li Changle.

He sighed, then took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket and handed one to Li Changle.

"Want one?"

Li Changle looked at the cigarette that Wang Weimin handed to him, feeling a little conflicted.

He hasn't smoked for a long time, and Wang Siyi hasn't smoked since he moved here.

He still remembered that Wang Siyi frowned when he saw the ashtray in his room.

But it was hard to refuse such a kind invitation, and I happened to be in a bad mood. Wang Siyi probably wouldn't come out tonight.

Li Changle nodded and took the cigarette. Then the two of them began to smoke in the hall.

"May I have your name?"

"My name is Li Changle, uncle."

Wang Weimin nodded, it was a good name.

"How long have you lived with Siyi..."

Wang Weimin asked the question that concerned him most.

Li Changle thought for a moment.

"About a month now. I've been living here because of Siyi. She was being harassed by some hooligans downstairs, and I went up to help her. I got hit on the head, and she sent me to the hospital."

"Later, when she saw that I didn't have a job, she offered me the house. I didn't know why I agreed at the time."

"Siyi seemed to be under great pressure from the company before, so she planned to come here to rest for a while. She went back to Shanghai in the middle, but she came back again after about half a month."

"And then he got drunk and ran over to me, hurting his leg. Then, for some reason, he got a fever again and was sick for a long time. He only got better in the past few days."

Li Changle told Wang Weimin the whole story of how she met and became acquainted with Wang Siyi.

Wang Weimin nodded, realizing that he had made a mistake and had a preconceived notion.

This young man is a good person. He is kind-hearted and brave enough to do what is right, and he has never taken advantage of others.

The fact that his daughter came to him even when she was drunk showed that she trusted him very much.

When I think about how my daughter resisted so fiercely when I wanted to take her back, it seems that my daughter really likes this guy.

But this guy can't seem to see that his daughter likes him?

This guy is a complete emotional idiot. Anyone with eyes can probably see why he looks so stupid.

Wang Weimin wanted to know more about Li Changle. After all, he was the person his daughter liked, and apart from being a little stupid, he seemed to be a decent person.

"Changle, right? What kind of job are you doing now?"

Wang Weimin wanted Li Changle to tell him how many people were in his family's household registration and how many ID cards they had, but he had to proceed step by step, so he asked a basic question.

"Oh, uncle, I write online novels."

"Online novel?"

Wang Weimin was stunned. He knew about online novels.

However, as a writer of classical Chinese poetry, he has always looked down upon the online novel industry.

"Yeah, after I graduated I didn't know what job to look for, so I just wrote a novel."

It’s not that Li Changle doesn’t know what to look for, it’s that he doesn’t want to look for it.

It is impossible for me to work, I will never work in this life.

"Oh, what's the name of the novel? Let me take a look..."

Since he had nothing to do, Wang Weimin was obviously interested in Li Changle. The content written by an author in a novel can often reflect a person's character.

"The title of the book is Chinese Paladin. Uncle, you can check it out on the Chinese website."

Li Changle did not refuse. Judging from Wang Weimin's image, he should be a cultural person.

"Your novel's introduction is quite interesting. It's actually a poem..."

However, Wang Weimin thinks this poem is just average, and it more briefly summarizes the content of the novel.

But this is not bad, this kid has some talent. Wang Weimin has always liked talented people.

After reading the novel written by Li Changle, my favorable impression of Li Changle increased.

"Your poem about riding a sword and coming with the wind to slay demons from heaven and earth is well written..."

Wang Weimin opened the novel and read for a while. When he saw the poem "Riding a Sword and Riding the Wind", his eyes suddenly lit up.

Although this poem is simple, the unruly and heroic feeling it reveals is very consistent with the image of the character in the novel.

If one can achieve this level in poetry, he or she is qualified to make a living from it.

Li Changle smiled but said nothing.

Wang Weimin didn't read any further and chose to continue chatting with Li Changle.

"Changle, what do you think of Siyi?"

Li Changle on the opposite side was stunned and asked what this meant. Wang Siyi, of course it’s good, rich woman, cute.

"Si Yi is such a nice person. If she hadn't let me live here, I wouldn't have anywhere to go..."

"That's not what I'm talking about. Sigh... forget it, you young people."

Wang Weimin wanted to say something, but he felt that doing so might disgust his daughter again. His daughter should have her own ideas, so he thought about it seriously and gave up the topic.

"Oh..." Li Changle nodded woodenly, not knowing what Uncle Wang meant.

What could possibly happen between me and Wang Siyi? She's doing fine. If Wang Weimin hadn't done this tonight, Wang Siyi would probably still be in a good mood.
