Fu Hange nodded at her. Bai Xin was no wife; she was clearly a shameless mistress.
Jiang Xiaoling's expression twisted as she slowly walked to the sofa and sat down. Fu Hange noticed that she probably had the same idea as her.
But thinking about it, it's better that she had a miscarriage, so she won't feel disgusted in front of me every day.
The two chatted until nearly ten o'clock. Jiang Xiaoling looked at her watch and stood up: "Sister Xu, I won't disturb your rest any longer. I'll be going now. Goodbye."
Fu Hange got up to see her off, but as soon as she opened the door, she saw Xu Yi standing outside, looking at her pitifully, covered in dirt.
"You...you've been robbed?"
She was still wondering why he had found her place. To her surprise, Xu Yi became even more aggrieved, hugging Fu Hange tightly and burying his face in the crook of her neck: "Mom won't let me go home."
They won't let me go home? Then what am I doing here? Do I want to stay here?
She pushed him away abruptly and snapped, "No way! You have so many women outside, you can just go sleep at any one of them."
Xu Yi carried her inside and skillfully closed the door. Jiang Xiaoling stood by, at a loss, like a spectator watching a play.
She was pushed onto the sofa by Xu Yi, and then shoved him away, asking, "What exactly do you want?"
Xu Yi sat up straight, like a little kitten: "You know my women never let me stay overnight, so I had no choice but to come here."
Fu Hange was baffled. She had only known him for less than a month. Although they were like siblings, it felt strange to have him living here.
"Really? There are so many hotels out there, how come Young Master Xu can't find a place to stay?" Jiang Xiaoling interjected timidly from the side.
However, her words reminded Fu Hange that he couldn't possibly be broke; he should be able to afford a hotel.
"My card was suspended, and I didn't bring any cash," Xu Yi explained.
Jiang Xiaoling's mind raced, and before Fu Hange could speak, she said weakly, "It's said that Young Master Xu is notorious for his womanizing ways, so it's impossible that no woman would take you in, right?"
Xu Yi turned his gaze to her, his face filled with disbelief. This girl, so thin and frail, was unexpectedly good at embarrassing him. Her face seemed familiar, but he couldn't quite place it. He gave her a look, signaling her to stop talking.
Out of a sense of morality, she had no choice but to walk over and whisper to Fu Hange, "Sister Xu, I don't think these are valid reasons, are they? Even if you're kicked out, you shouldn't be unable to find a place to stay, right?"
Upon hearing this, Fu Hange agreed with her point of view. That's right, she had almost been tricked by Xu Yi just now. Now that she thought about it, these things really couldn't be a reason to take Xu Yi in.
Xu Yi was shocked. He looked at Jiang Xiaoling next to him again. The more he looked, the clearer the memory became. He suddenly remembered that she was the poor girl who hit his car this morning. But how did she end up at Fu Hange's house and call her "sister"?
Before he could ask any questions, he was only thinking about solving the immediate problem: "Let me be honest with you. Actually, I was kicked out of the house by my mom as soon as I got home today. She made me apologize to you for what happened this morning, otherwise she won't let me come home anymore and won't let me use my card."
Fu Hange looked at his aggrieved expression and suddenly found it funny. But thinking about it, it made sense. Who told him to leave her and Xu's mother behind this morning? Now was the perfect time for revenge: "By the way, I haven't washed the dishes yet after eating."
Xu Yi gritted his teeth: "I'll wash it."
