Fu Hange released his clothes, thanked him, and returned to the Xu family.
She wasn't particularly sad or afraid; she only felt hatred. She almost softened again, thinking that Gu Yuan wanted to be with her. It seemed she was wrong. Gu Yuan had never cared about her at all, even taking Bai Xin with him on his business trip. She thought he had grown tired of that woman, but it turned out he still had feelings for her. Why had she been so delusional?
After returning home, she threw herself back into her work, but the Xu family was still in dire straits. She could only regain her pride by achieving better results than Mingheng. She had lost to Gu Yuan before because she didn't know how to manage a company. Now, she was determined to make Gu Yuan taste what it was like to be penniless like her.
Five days later, Gu Yuan appeared at the bottom of Xu's building with Bai Xin, claiming that he wanted to see Fu Hange. The people below relayed the message to Fu Hange, who also wanted to see Gu Yuan and settle the score.
Gu Yuan's car was parked arrogantly in front of the Xu family's gate, blocking it completely.
Gu Yuan honked the horn to signal her to get in, and she did. Bai Xin was sitting in the passenger seat, so she had to sit in the back.
With the air conditioning on in the car, Fu Hange's body temperature dropped significantly.
"Did you receive my reward?" Gu Yuan asked jokingly.
"Don't try to disgust me with your money."
Gu Yuan seemed to have heard a joke, and with his hand on the steering wheel, he turned to her and said sarcastically, "But you accepted it anyway."
These words left her speechless. Indeed, she had used the money. She even wanted to use it to defeat the entire Mingheng Group and let Gu Yuan taste what it was like to have nothing, but that was almost an impossible dream.
Having exhausted all her strength, she had no choice but to play her last trump card: "Let me help you recall what happened back then."
"What do you mean?" Gu Yuan looked at her with sexy eyes, his pupils deep and terrifying.
Fu Hange looked at Bai Xin, intending to make a sarcastic remark about her relationship with Gu Yuan, but unexpectedly, Bai Xin spoke first: "Doesn't President Xu know that it's impolite to keep staring at other people? Especially with President Gu here."
Fu Hange ignored her and continued looking at her, saying, "My first encounter with President Gu was when I barged into his room and did something with him. When I woke up, he was gone. It turned out that he was actually the president of Mingheng, one of the top companies in the country."
She still didn't look at Gu Yuan, but Gu Yuan kept staring at her with a furrowed brow.
Fu Hange continued looking at Bai Xin and said, "You should know about this matter. I suppose President Gu didn't tell you in detail, but think about it, if he wouldn't refuse a woman from who-knows-where, how could he be truly sincere towards you? Don't dream about it."
Upon hearing this, Bai Xin turned pale, her lips pursed, and her fingers unconsciously curled into fists.
Fu Hange watched all of Bai Xin's actions. Ignoring Bai Xin's feelings, she continued, "How dare you follow such a carefree and unrestrained man? He's ruthless and cold-blooded in the business world, and he's the same in private. If you stay by his side now, you might be starving tomorrow. Besides, he won't refuse any woman. You're really stupid; you've been with him for so long and you still don't understand."
"Fu Hange, that's enough!" Gu Yuan roared angrily, his voice loud enough for passersby to hear.
Bai Xin shook her head desperately, laughing foolishly and repeatedly saying "no." Fu Hange looked at her and felt truly sorry for her, utterly helpless. Being rejected by one's lover must be a terrible feeling.
