Once everyone was seated, Fu Hange stole a glance at Gu Yuan, who maintained an arrogant demeanor, as if he was determined to win the case.
The judge on the other side began by asking, "Could you both please explain what caused this dispute?"
Gu Yuan raised an eyebrow and gestured for Bai Xin to bring out the pre-prepared contract and hand it to the judge: "Please take a look."
The judge initially showed no reaction after reading it, but as he scrolled down, an expression of disbelief appeared on his face.
He asked incredulously, "Are you sure this will lead to a civil dispute?"
"Yes," Gu Yuan nodded in reply.
Fu Hange supported her forehead with her hand, trying to bury her face in it.
Gu Yuan continued, "The lady next to me not only failed to fulfill her obligations after signing this agreement, but also launched personal attacks and insults against me. This is an even greater offense. Please give me a fair explanation."
Seeing Gu Yuanyi's righteous and indignant demeanor, Fu Hange really wanted to slap him. She then came up with a solution she had prepared beforehand: "It's like this, I plan to return the funds that President Gu previously invested in Xu's to you with interest, so let's just void this contract, shall we?"
The judge nodded in agreement: "That's a good idea, after all, I do have some questions about your contract."
Bai Xin nudged Gu Yuan from behind and whispered something in his ear. When Gu Yuan disagreed, she stomped her feet in anger.
Gu Yuan persisted: "I think we should still abide by the contract. Fu Hange, I don't lack money."
After Gu Yuan finished speaking, he didn't even glance at her, but simply sat there posing like a vice president.
It goes without saying that she lost the case. Even after she came out, she still remembered the judge's look at her as if she were a ghost, which made her feel utterly ashamed.
How could a normal person come up with such a perverted agreement, with things like having to pick up Gu Yuan from get off work and having a personal assistant? It's clearly just an excuse for Gu Yuan to mess with her.
The judge probably thought the two of them were doing something shady and came up with this absurd agreement to avoid being discovered.
After they came out, Gu Yuan and Bai Xin walked ahead, while Fu Hange followed behind with her head down, barely able to move.
Bai Xin realized that she hadn't gone far, so she came over, grabbed her hand, and yelled, "Fu Hange, let me tell you, if you dare to have any improper thoughts about our President Gu, I guarantee that the Xu family won't live past tomorrow."
"Finally made your move, huh? All that before was just playing house with her, this is the real deal, right? Pretty ruthless, huh?" Fu Hange cursed inwardly, her high heels stomping loudly. Gu Yuan had already taken the contract away; only the smell of coffee Gu Yuan hadn't drunk remained in the air.
Seeing this, Jiang Xiaoling came up and patted her on the back. She didn't say any polite words of comfort, but silently gave her strength from behind.
She returned to her office and sat quietly for the entire afternoon. As night fell, the day finally came to an end, but she had accomplished nothing. However, this did not mean that the day was over; she still had to go to that devil, Gu Yuan.
The high heels clicking on the cold floor added an eerie atmosphere to the already dark Mingheng.
Fu Hange gently pushed open the door and entered. Only Gu Yuan remained in the office. He was standing by the window, deep in thought, as always, and the room was eerily gloomy.
After walking a certain distance away from him, Fu Hange asked, "When are you leaving?"
Without hesitation, Gu Yuan turned and pointed to the mess on the table: "Clean it up."
