Fu Hange took the glass of warm water with both hands, drank it down in one gulp, and immediately felt much better. Her pale face was still bloodless, and she didn't say anything, just silently savoring Gu Yuan's glass of warm water.
Gu Yuan asked several more times, but she still didn't answer. His temper flared up instantly, and he became impatient: "Just tell me what's wrong with you. If you're not sick, go back to your house."
As soon as she finished speaking, Fu Hange slammed the water glass down on the glass table with a loud thud. She crossed her arms and said, "My period started."
Gu Yuan stood there awkwardly, at a loss for words. Fu Hange looked him over, her eyebrows twitching slightly. After all, how should a grown man respond to this? She didn't yet have a suitable answer.
Fu Hange finished her drink. Gu Yuan remained standing there, seemingly realizing that her actions would only make him feel awkward, and said softly, "Wait for me to come back."
He left after saying that, but Fu Hange didn't take his words to heart. Her stomach was still churning with pain. She found the water dispenser, filled a large glass with water, and drank it all in one gulp, but the pain in her lower abdomen still lingered. She didn't know what Gu Yuan was going to do, but since he had called her today, she had to get him home safely.
She sat idly on the sofa, looking around Gu Yuan's house. The spacious living room was simply decorated, but it was full of domineering and sharp elements, just like him.
Ten minutes later, the door opened again, and Gu Yuan returned carrying a black bag containing something, which he handed to her: "I'll take you home once you've packed everything."
Fu Hange stood up and looked at him in horror. A sharp pain shot through her, and she frowned, sat down, and clutched her stomach. Gu Yuan impatiently pushed her toward the toilet: "Go quickly."
Fu Hange walked into the restroom with the contents of the black bag in her hand. She leaned against the door and chuckled to herself. So Gu Yuan knew about this too? She thought he only knew how to play pranks.
How did he manage to buy it? It's unimaginable for someone as poor at communication as him. He must have terrified the sales clerks.
At 10 p.m., the black Cayenne blended almost into the night as it drove along the wide highway. No one spoke in the car. Fu Hange knew that Gu Yuan had lost face because of what had just happened, and she was also embarrassed by what had just happened.
The two remained locked in this stalemate until Fu Hange got out of the car, without Gu Yuan uttering a single word to her. Watching Gu Yuan drive away, Fu Hange couldn't help but sigh, wondering when she would finally escape this devil. Nothing good had ever happened since she met him. First, he almost bankrupted her, then he forced her to be his slave, then she was hit by Bai Xin and hospitalized, and today she made a complete fool of herself in front of him. He was truly her nemesis.
After returning home, Fu Hange first took a shower and changed into some clean clothes. After rinsing with hot water, the pain in her lower abdomen was no longer as bad as it had been when she first drove Gu Yuan home.
However, a feeling of emptiness followed, which had been masked by the pain, was now becoming more apparent as the condition improved.
It was nearly midnight when Fu Hange called Liu Yunqi and Jiang Xiaoling, inviting them out for a late-night snack.
The location was chosen to be a barbecue stall not far from Fu Hange's apartment. It was Liu Yunqi's suggestion because she said she had practically searched the entire city of C to avoid paparazzi, and knew exactly where they wouldn't easily find her. Fu Hange thought that since she had nothing to do all day, it was perfect to leave this task to her.
