"Good sister, what other senior management positions are available in our company?"
Fu Hange was baffled: "What are you going to do?"
"I want to come and work."
This must feel like the sun rising in the west, right? Xu Yi is actually coming to work? Undeniably, this is the best joke Fu Hange has heard all year.
Without saying a word, she hung up the phone. Xu Yi kept calling, so she simply turned off her phone.
Fu Hange put away her phone, took a deep breath, and looked at Gu Yuan with annoyance: "You should just take me to the Xu family."
Gu Yuan ignored her and drove quietly, embodying the image of a law-abiding citizen.
And so, no one spoke in the car. Bai Xin looked at Gu Yuan with displeasure from the back, and then stared at Fu Hange.
Fu Hange was surprised that Gu Yuan had driven her to the entrance of Mingheng. She got out of the car in anger and wanted to run back to Xu's. Gu Yuan took off his sunglasses, turned around and walked in with Bai Xin. His voice came from inside: "If you don't want to see Xu's go bankrupt tomorrow, hurry up and come up. You have one minute."
It was that trick again. Fu Hange really wanted to grab a knife and kill Gu Yuan. But the next second, she hurriedly ran into Mingheng and took the staff elevator to the 28th floor.
Inside, Bai Xin was grinding coffee for Gu Yuan, while Gu Yuan sat in a swivel chair with his legs crossed, waiting to be served.
Fu Hange walked over and stood opposite him: "Speak quickly if you have something to say."
Gu Yuan handed the contract to Fu Hange again, then leaned back in his chair, looking languid.
Fu Hange immediately understood; he probably wanted her to talk to the real client.
Fu Hange threw the contract at Gu Yuan, who immediately opened his eyes and glared at her fiercely.
This scene was witnessed by Bai Xin, who came out with a cup of coffee. She hurriedly ran to Gu Yuan, put down the coffee, and looked at Fu Hange with extreme annoyance: "President Xu, even if you don't want to help Mingheng, you don't have to act like this, do you? Where is your basic respect?"
Fu Hange was furious, her imposing manner no less than Bai Xin's: "You're talking to me about respect? Then let me ask you, have you ever respected others?"
The words had already been so harsh that Bai Xin's carefully cultivated politeness in front of Fu Hange was about to crumble. Just as she was about to retort, Gu Yuan slammed his hand on the table and said, "Shut up, all of you!"
The cup vibrated and made a sound due to friction.
Fu Hange and Gu Yuan sat facing each other, their eyes meeting as they sized each other up.
Bai Xin clenched her fists in anger, but dared not interrupt.
The three were locked in a stalemate, time ticking by, with five minutes to go before the start of work. Bai Xin, growing impatient, simply went off to do her own thing. Fu Hange and Gu Yuan remained locked in a staring contest, neither willing to back down.
In the end, Fu Hange was the first to give in. She looked away from Gu Yuan, turned on her phone, and called Xu Yi. Gu Yuan heard all of her conversation clearly.
"I have something to do today. You can come work at Xu's for a day first, but you better behave yourself, or you'll be fired tomorrow."
Xu Yi's voice came from the other end of the line, hurriedly and respectfully agreeing. Fu Hange hung up the phone with a worried expression.
She looked up and Gu Yuan was still staring at her. Unwilling to admit defeat, she glared back. Gu Yuan looked into her eyes and said, word by word, "Can we set off now? If we delay, I can't guarantee the Xu family will be safe tomorrow."
Fu Hange suppressed her murderous urge and drank the cup of coffee that Bai Xin had just placed on Gu Yuan's table. Although it was cold, it was enough to calm her down.
