She never imagined that Jiang Xiaoling would keep these things in her heart. She was terrible at handling emotional situations, and saying anything now would be pointless. She reached out and hugged Jiang Xiaoling tightly, gently patting her back. Her eyes were terribly dry, but she tried her best to hold back her tears.
However, there was still one thing Fu Hange couldn't understand: why did they snatch that order? And how did they do it?
Fu Hange released Jiang Xiaoling, frowned and asked, "Could you tell me in more detail how the Xu family managed to secure that deal?"
Xiao Ling's face was filled with pride, her happiness barely concealed, and her gaze shifted away from Fu Hange: "Xu Yi secured it. She heard that you and Gu Yuan went to discuss that deal, so she found the person who wanted to cooperate with Gu Yuan. Then she told him a lot about how treacherous and ruthless Gu Yuan was, so he cooperated with us."
Jiang Xiaoling looked extremely happy. Fu Hange could tell from her expression that it wasn't just simple happiness; there must be some other reason behind it. If it were in the past, she definitely wouldn't have been this happy over such a small thing.
No wonder Gu Yuan said she loved money and hated her so much; there must be a reason. But she couldn't explain it now, and she had no way to explain it. Gu Yuan definitely didn't want to see her right now, and she didn't dare to see him. A wave of frustration washed over her. She shouldn't have let Xu Yi come to the Xu family; it only caused trouble. Now, nothing she did could help.
Fu Hange was discharged from the hospital in the evening. The dim light and the afterglow created different scenes, but these seemed to be non-existent in Fu Hange's eyes. She had no interest in appreciating these useless things. Her mind was only on how to face Gu Yuan. Would he hate her like this for the rest of his life? She knew she shouldn't think about these things, but she couldn't help thinking about them.
She walked all the way to Mingheng's door, running countless red lights and being cursed at by countless people. She didn't count, nor did she want to. She only had one thought in her mind: to explain things clearly to Gu Yuan.
Her face was deathly pale, and her body had felt weak all day. She wore only a thin coat draped over her shoulders. As soon as she arrived at Mingheng, the security guards outside immediately recognized her and obediently made way for her.
Fu Hange went straight to Gu Yuan's office. Through the glass, she could clearly see Gu Yuan leaning back in his chair with his eyes closed, looking like he was asleep from exhaustion.
Bai Xin should have been off work by now, but she didn't leave today, which was unusual for her. Fu Hange saw Bai Xin put her coat on Gu Yuan and then sit down next to him to observe his sleeping face. For some reason, Fu Hange felt an indescribable pain in her heart.
Bai Xin moved her face closer and closer, almost touching Gu Yuan's lips. In that instant, Gu Yuan's sensitive nerves were awakened, and he stared wide-eyed at Bai Xin. Bai Xin clearly hadn't expected Gu Yuan to suddenly wake up, and hurriedly straightened her clothes to ease the awkwardness.
Fu Hange, standing at the door, continued to observe everything happening inside. Gu Yuan calmly said, "You don't need to be so nervous in front of me."
These words intensified the inexplicable pain in Fu Hange's heart. Looking at the man and woman inside, she finally realized that she had unknowingly fallen in love with Gu Yuan. This thought startled her, but she felt mostly helpless.
Although I know I shouldn't have such thoughts, these things are beyond my control; the more I try not to think about them, the more I want to think about them. That's just how people are.
