Chapter 184 Lonely and Indifferent

That feeling is indescribable; it's just that somewhere in your heart, there will always be something, someone, or a word that will leave you nowhere to hide.

Gu Yuan gave her no time to think; gusts of cold air stung Fu Hange's skin. Autumn air was nothing special; no matter how cold it was, it couldn't compare to the coldness in her heart.

Gu Yuan's cold, emotionless voice rang out: "Fu Hange, you've been scheming to be with me just for money, haven't you? Stop pretending in front of me, I'll give it to you."

Her heart was pierced once again, a feeling beyond words, known only to those who have experienced it firsthand. Tears streamed down her cheeks onto the pillow as Fu Hange silently endured the humiliation inflicted by Gu Yuan.

In her daze, she recalled the nights she spent with Gu Yuan. The first time, she went to him to pay off her debts; perhaps that's when he started to dislike her? Later, when she went to discuss a deal, Gu Yuan dragged her back; perhaps that's when he hated her even more? And this time, she guessed she had pushed Gu Yuan to his limit.

She stole his business and pretended to go out with him. Gu Yuan probably thought she was only getting close to him for money because of all the times she was with him.

This night was a long battle. Gu Yuan never let her go. In the end, Fu Hange was exhausted and wanted to pass out quickly so she wouldn't have to endure this torment. Fu Hange hardly slept for a moment.

Whether Gu Yuan was on stimulants or something else, he was full of energy and didn't feel tired at all. Or perhaps he was venting his frustrations on her; he must hate her to death because of that deal.

The next morning, Fu Hange was awakened by the glaring sunlight, her body aching terribly. There was a rustling sound beside her. Gu Yuan was rummaging through drawers and closets looking for clothes. As if he couldn't find anything, he angrily threw out a handful of useless clothes.

Fu Hange struggled to sit up: "What are you looking for?"

Gu Yuan turned and glared at her, his eyes filled with impatience and disdain. Fu Hange must have done something wrong again to anger him. Ever since that incident, Gu Yuan had changed, becoming just as cold-blooded as he had been years ago.

Gu Yuan searched for a long time, as if he had finally found the tie. After putting it on, he walked to the entrance and threw a few cold words at Fu Hange: "Our contract will continue to be fulfilled. If you try to play mind games with me, I guarantee I'll play you to death."

After saying those words, Gu Yuan left without any emotion. Fu Hange sat blankly on the bed, feeling a pain she had never experienced before. She felt nothing but pain, an indescribable pain, a pain that no one could understand.

She didn't know when, but tears welled up in her eyes without her noticing. She thought she wouldn't cry anymore, but she couldn't help but let herself be weak again. She remembered that she was never afraid of Gu Yuan before, but now she was. Afraid of his aloof indifference, afraid of his resolute back, afraid that he might throw her away at any moment.

She got up and took a shower, which relieved much of her fatigue and gradually restored her mental clarity. However, her clothes were still in disarray, covered in wrinkles, thanks to Gu Yuan's care. Fu Hange dared not go out in them, so she called Jiang Xiaoling and asked her to bring her some clothes.

The reason I didn't dare call Liu Yunqi was because I was afraid she would find out and make a fuss. Someone like her would definitely have no sense of propriety.

Half an hour later, Jiang Xiaoling delivered it on time; it was a white shirt.

Fu Hange changed into the clothes without saying a word, but Jiang Xiaoling couldn't help but ask, "What is your relationship now?"
