She also began to feel afraid, afraid that Gu Yuan would abandon her. The more she thought about it, the more confused she became. Fu Hange smiled and brushed a stray hair from Liu Yunqi's forehead. But her smile was feigned; heaven knows how helpless and lost she truly felt.
When Jiang Xiaoling saw Fu Hange arrive, she took the reports and explained them to Fu Hange one by one: "Sister Xu, look, all the achievements Xu's Group has made these past few days while you were gone are here."
Fu Hange nodded, pushing away the pile of annoying things; she really wasn't in the mood to look at them. Jiang Xiaoling, understanding her perfectly, took the things away.
However, one thing did perk Fu Hange up. She looked at Jiang Xiaoling, then at Xu Yi: "You guys?"
Xu Yi made no attempt to hide it: "We're together."
There was no news more surprising to Fu Hange than this. Having just experienced that incident, she was undoubtedly still shaken.
To everyone's surprise, Jiang Xiaoling immediately denied it, saying, "We only have a working relationship, nothing more." She then glared at Xu Yi.
Liu Yunqi, standing to the side, felt wronged, watching the two of them exchange glances longingly. She clearly liked him, but couldn't have him. Actually, Fu Hange had long noticed that Liu Yunqi had been unable to forget Xu Yi ever since they met that day. She just hadn't expected that this love-at-first-sight drama would play out right beside her, and with her best friend, Liu Yunqi.
It was clear that Liu Yunqi was displeased, secretly glancing at Jiang Xiaoling with an unreadable expression in her eyes, which Fu Hange couldn't understand at all.
Fu Hange exchanged a few more pleasantries with them before leaving. Having been away for so long, and with Gu Yuan not giving her permission to return, she naturally had to go back. As she approached Mingheng, Fu Hange hid the report in her bag to prevent Gu Yuan from seeing it.
"You've come at the right time. Accompany me on this business trip for a week," Gu Yuan said to her as soon as they entered.
Fu Hange was momentarily confused and tilted her head to look at Gu Yuan. She happened to meet Gu Yuan's dark eyes. Startled, she quickly looked away. But then she realized something was wrong; she hadn't done anything wrong, so why should she be afraid of Gu Yuan?
Then he turned his gaze back to Gu Yuan: "Where to?"
"London."
Fu Hange couldn't understand why Gu Yuan suddenly wanted to go to London. Judging from his continued dedication to his work, it was probably for business again. She subconsciously touched her stomach, feeling an unprecedented fear about going to London.
