They hailed a taxi, and Gu Yuan gave Fu Hange an address, but she didn't hear him clearly. Her eyes were fixed on Tang Qiang's secretary beside her. It was obvious that the secretary had also noticed them, so he stopped rubbing his hands and quickly followed.
Fu Hange didn't know where Gu Yuan was taking her, nor did she know if the secretary following them would cause trouble, so she asked Gu Yuan a question.
Gu Yuan, sitting in the back seat, replied with a smile, "That's exactly what I want him to do."
His face was full of confidence, as if everything was under his control. But it was precisely this confidence that made Fu Hange feel that the distance between them was growing wider and wider. She was increasingly unable to keep up with his thoughts. She didn't understand any of his decisions or ideas, and every time she asked him questions like a fool, all she got in return was endless silence.
The car quickly stopped in a dazzling spot. Fu Hange looked closely and realized it was the London Eye, a place she had been longing to visit. It was 7:30 a.m., and the London Eye was open for business as usual. Under the lights, the colorful Ferris wheels hung high in the air, a breathtaking sight.
Fu Hange had never seen the London Eye on her computer before, and it didn't seem nearly as big as it actually is. Standing before it today, not far away, she realized just how enormous it truly is. The changing lights transformed the Ferris wheel into different colors, and its reflection shone brightly on the Thames.
Although there are no holidays or festivals around, and there are many people around, making a lot of noise, Fu Hange doesn't see these people at all. At this moment, she is completely occupied by the Ferris wheel and has lost her mind.
Fu Hange was somewhat mesmerized. Although she was still some distance from the London Eye, this was the closest she had ever been. She had wanted to come here so many times but never had the chance. Gu Yuan had told her not to make any rash moves, so she kept all these thoughts to herself, not letting anyone know.
How did Gu Yuan find out? Was it when she and Gu Yuan were here last time, gazing at the London Eye in a daze, that she noticed it? She had no idea. Or was this just one of the business tactics Gu Yuan used to cooperate with Tang Qiang?
Her thoughts were a bit chaotic, constantly revolving around Gu Yuan, so much so that she didn't respond when Gu Yuan called her several times. Finally, a kiss from Gu Yuan brought her back to her senses; his lips were cool, soft as snow, and intoxicating.
She stared wide-eyed at Gu Yuan. His eyelashes were long and thick, dazzling even more under the neon lights. The man before her was like a radiant light, a shining star, yet also shrouded in mist. No matter how beautiful he was, he ultimately did not belong to her.
She didn't know when, but her eyes were a little misty. To play along with Gu Yuan's act, she forced a sweet smile, took Gu Yuan's hand, and said, "Take me to ride the Ferris wheel."
Gu Yuan responded, and to give Tang Qiang's secretary a better view, he pulled Fu Hange's hand towards him, causing Fu Hange to accidentally bump into him. She turned to look at Gu Yuan in surprise, his eyes showing a rare tenderness that made her even more captivated.
They soon arrived at the Ferris wheel. Gu Yuan paid, and Fu Hange boarded with him. The night sky at 7:30 was pitch black with no stars, but snowflakes adorned the scene. Watching the snowflakes fall from inside the cabin was a unique and enjoyable experience.
Gu Yuan remained unchanged, sitting opposite Fu Hange without uttering a word, his face cold, his brows exuding an air of nobility and grandeur.
Looking down from here, the view isn't far from the ground. As the Ferris wheel slowly rises, the scenery changes, with the sky as black as ink. If the night views of China's coastal cities are beautiful, then London's night view is no less stunning.
