Bai Xin snorted, stomped her foot, and ran away.
Gu Yuan seemed to react, tugging at his tie and muttering something, but Fu Hange couldn't hear him clearly even when she leaned closer.
She went to the kitchen and cooked a hangover soup for Gu Yuan. Although she couldn't cook rice, she could still make this.
Fu Hange lifted Gu Yuan's head slightly and fed him the contents through his lips. Fortunately, he didn't spit it out and drank the whole bowl.
Her stomach had started growling at some point, and seeing the food Sun Yuxian had prepared on the table, she reheated it. By the time she finished, Gu Yuan had already woken up.
Rubbing his head, he asked, "How did I get back?"
As Fu Hange took out the bowls and chopsticks, she replied, "Bai Xin brought you back."
Gu Yuan's head seemed to be throbbing with pain, and he kept making sounds of agony.
Fu Hange couldn't help but scold Gu Yuan: "Why did you drink so much for no reason? You brought this on yourself."
Gu Yuan rubbed his temples, and miraculously didn't blame her. Instead, his voice was unusually calm: "I had a business dinner at the company and drank a little."
Upon hearing this, Fu Hange frowned and earnestly advised him, "Isn't your company already powerful enough? You don't need to run it at all. Wouldn't it be better to make your life a little easier?"
This was the most peaceful conversation she had ever had with Gu Yuan. He listened quietly while she talked a lot beside him.
Gu Yuan chuckled: "Easier said than done. I told you not to go to work, but were you ever willing to do so? You want me to have an easy life so you can spend time with me, right? Tomorrow I'll take you out to see the world."
Fu Hange was a little confused by these words. Show her the world? Although she was not as successful as Gu Yuan, her family background was not bad either. She was not someone who had never seen the world, was she?
Fu Hange decided to put that question aside and, remembering what happened with Bai Xin earlier that day, asked, "Why were you and Bai Xin at the mall today? Were you buying clothes together?"
To her surprise, Gu Yuan's next question made her extremely embarrassed: "Are you jealous?"
Fu Hange denied it without even thinking: "No."
She said no, but her face honestly turned red.
Gu Yuan didn't pursue the question further and explained to her, "What you saw today was just her and me helping a client choose clothes; it was just work."
He leaned closer to Fu Hange and said in a highly sensual tone, "Do you understand?"
He stood before me with a cold expression, his earlier joking tone gone.
Fu Hange gave a perfunctory reply before hurriedly running back to her room, her face flushed with embarrassment.
Why did she feel that Gu Yuan had changed?
The next day, the two were all ready to depart when Gu Yuan drove into a villa somewhere unknown. Inside sat a woman of great elegance, who looked to be in her mid-twenties. She was dressed head-to-toe in designer brands and adorned with dazzling gold jewelry, so much so that Fu Hange couldn't open her eyes.
She appeared to be manicuring her nails, with her legs crossed, a typical image of a wealthy woman.
Gu Yuan, holding Fu Hange's hand, walked up to Tong Meng and extended his hand to her: "Hello, I am Gu Yuan, President of Mingheng, and I am in charge of designing your wedding ring."
Tong Meng gestured with his hand, saying, "President Gu, please have a seat."
Fu Hange didn't like this oppressive feeling. From the moment she entered, she felt that Gu Yuan was the main character, and she was just there to watch the show.
"President Gu is really too kind. He doesn't use so many of his employees, but he came all the way here just to serve me."
"Miss Tong is joking. This time, it wasn't me who designed it for you."
