Chapter 227 Mung Bean Soup

Tong Meng looked at Gu Yuan with a puzzled expression.

Gu Yuan pulled Fu Hange forward: "This is my wife, Miss Tong. She will be in full charge of this project."

Fu Hange immediately wanted to check if she hadn't cleaned her ears properly. She worked in jewelry, and Gu Yuan actually wanted her to design wedding rings? How could he even think of that?

Out of conscience, Fu Hange instinctively refused: "Ms. Tong, I don't think I'm suitable to design for you. On the one hand, I don't understand this, and on the other hand, I work in the jewelry industry and have never tried designing wedding rings before."

Tong Meng looked at Gu Yuan with a troubled expression.

Gu Yuan grabbed Fu Hange and prepared to leave: "I will persuade my wife about this project. Don't worry, Miss Tong, we will definitely produce a satisfactory product in two weeks."

After saying that, he quickly left with Fu Hange.

At the doorway, Fu Hange broke free from Gu Yuan's arms: "Why did you push me out to design some wedding ring?"

Gu Yuan seemed a little annoyed: "There's no reason. Since you have nothing to do, I'll find you something to do. What, are you not satisfied?"

Fu Hange couldn't refute this. Even if he asked her to do something, it should be something she was good at. She had never touched a wedding ring before, and judging from Tong Meng's appearance, she was obviously a rich young lady with picky taste. If she didn't handle it well, she would kill her.

Fu Hange refused: "I'm not taking this order anyway, you do it."

"Just because I've been a little nicer to you lately, does that mean you can act so recklessly?"

Fu Hange didn't want to argue with him, so she just told him to get in the car.

Gu Yuan slammed the door shut and sped off. Fu Hange was thrown forward by the inertia and only recovered after the car stabilized.

Gu Yuan took her home and didn't go to work that day. He stayed under the same roof with her, and the two got along peacefully. Fu Hange was scrolling through her phone, while Gu Yuan was watching a football match out of boredom.

Gu Yuan had originally planned to find out Tong Meng's preferences for wedding rings by having her design them, but she refused. He had initially felt indebted to her for using her all this time and wanted to give her a proper wedding, but it seemed this woman was best left untreated; she was only suitable for his purposes.

At dinner time, Sun Yuxian arrived. She seemed oblivious to anything amiss, and upon entering and seeing Gu Yuan, she said, "Mr. Gu, you're back so early today?"

Seeing that Gu Yuan didn't react, she glanced at Fu Hange. Fu Hange gave her a look, and she understood. She silently went to the kitchen to cook.

Dinner was served quickly: a colorful dish with soup, a typical home-style meal.

Seeing that Gu Yuan had a sullen face, Fu Hange remained silent.

Sun Yuxian knew something had happened between them and was afraid that Gu Yuan would get angry if she stayed too long, so she quickly cleaned up the dishes and left. Once again, only Gu Yuan and Fu Hange were left in the huge villa.

Gu Yuan went to bed early that night, going upstairs at ten o'clock. Fu Hange knew that she had really angered him this time, so she went to the kitchen to cook a bowl of mung bean soup for Gu Yuan, hoping to calm him down.

She brought the food to Gu Yuan's room and knocked twice. Gu Yuan didn't answer, so Fu Hange barged in. There was no one inside, and Gu Yuan was nowhere to be seen. But she could hear the sound of water coming from the bathroom, so Fu Hange guessed that he was probably taking a shower.

She put down the mung bean soup, sat with her back to the bathroom, and waited listlessly.

She didn't know when the sound of water stopped, but Gu Yuan appeared behind her, his lips close to her ear: "Waiting for me?"
