The next morning, Xu Haicang convened a shareholders' meeting, and Liu Yunqi was among the invited guests.
Jiang Xiaoling saw her when she went in to deliver water. Liu Yunqi was sitting next to Xu Yi, looking at him with a smile.
Xu Haicang, sitting on the platform, said, "The Xu family was able to overcome this crisis entirely thanks to Miss Liu's invaluable assistance. Therefore, to show our sincerity, I have decided to arrange for Xu Yi and Miss Liu to get married, thus strengthening the ties between the two families."
After saying that, he laughed to himself.
Immediately, the shareholders below began to chime in: "Mr. Xu, this is a good suggestion. Since Miss Liu has done the Xu family such a big favor, she is now family."
Moreover, it's obvious to anyone that Liu Yunqi really likes Xu Yi. Plus, with all those resources she has, they definitely won't let her go to someone else. The best way to keep her is to marry Xu Yi as soon as possible.
Jiang Xiaoling deliberately slowed down the speed of serving water, and slowly handed them cups of coffee.
Xu Yi said somewhat displeasedly, "I will not marry her."

Liu Yunqi chuckled to himself, while the shareholders below tried to persuade him.

She put down the coffee, and sure enough, Xu Yi turned her hand and suddenly stood up.
Jiang Xiaoling knew things were going badly and tried desperately to shake off his hand, but it was too late. He held her hand tightly and she couldn't shake it off no matter what she did.
His voice rose slightly: "I won't marry her because I don't love her. The one I love is the one beside me."
After saying that, he gave Jiang Xiaoling a meaningful look.
The shareholders looked at each other, bewildered by his words.
Xu Haicang was so angry that his face turned pale, but he still tried to salvage the situation: "Everyone, he was just talking nonsense. Don't take it to heart. I'll talk to him later. After all, there aren't many girls as good as Miss Liu. It's just that Xu Yi knows how to seize the opportunity."
