Gu Yuan suddenly asked her coldly, his face dark, "Do you really have to be so heartless?"
Heartless?
Shouldn't he be the heartless one? He clearly doesn't love her, yet he still locks her up in the villa.
Fu Hange remained silent, only offering a cold smile.
There were misunderstandings between them, a tangled mess that couldn't be untangled. What would be the point of her explaining? He still wouldn't understand her feelings.
Fu Hange snapped out of her reverie and said softly, "Mr. Gu, please sign the divorce agreement and send it to me. The address is the same hotel as last time."
To her surprise, Gu Yuan's tone grew even colder upon hearing her words: "If you want it, come and get it yourself. There's no reason for me to send someone to deliver it to you."
That's true. As long as he's willing to get a divorce, this request isn't too unreasonable.
Then Gu Yuan asked again, "Let me make this clear first, you won't get a single benefit from this divorce. You'll have nothing without me."
He seemed to be expecting something, staring intently into Fu Hange's eyes.
Her face was eerily calm, as if it were always an indifferent expression, as if she didn't care at all.
After a few minutes, Fu Hange replied with a faint smile, "I don't care about your money."
"So what do you value?" Gu Yuanfeng asked her sharply.
Fu Hange was at a loss for words when asked the question, and finally only said, "I don't care about anything right now."
"Is that really the case?" he pressed.
Fu Hange didn't know how to answer him for a moment. All she cared about was him, but he didn't understand, so there was no need for her to say anything.
An awkward silence fell, and time seemed to stand still. Fu Hange lowered her head, while Gu Yuan looked down at her with a kingly air.
Finally, the deadlock was broken by a cold voice on the phone. Fu Hange took her phone out of her bag and ran outside the office to answer it.
It was Xu Haicang.
His voice came through the various phone screens to Fu Hange: "Yanyan, come back quickly, your issues with Xiao Fu haven't been resolved yet."
They're calling me that so affectionately, they've even started calling me Little Fu.
Fu Hange said impatiently, "Didn't you make that decision yourself? Why did you need me to come back?"
"Set a wedding date for you two."
Fu Hange instinctively wanted to refuse, but the words stuck in her throat.
Their situation definitely needed a solution. Fu Hange smiled and said she would dissolve the engagement when she got back. She then hung up the phone and headed towards her office.
As soon as she turned her head, Gu Yuan's gloomy face came into Fu Hange's view.
"Going back?" he asked in a low voice.
Fu Hange nodded silently. Indeed, she really did need to go back home and resolve that matter.
"About someone surnamed Fu?" Gu Yuan continued to ask.
Fu Hange nodded in agreement.
"When are you planning to get married? For your ex-husband's sake, invite me to your wedding!" she asked, feigning nonchalance.
What seemed like a neutral remark slowly turned into sarcasm in Fu Hange's ears. He was deliberately trying to embarrass her, especially the word "ex-husband," which deeply stung her heart.
Gu Yuan strode over, his hands in his pockets.
He looked down at her condescendingly: "You really are something. You just had a falling out with me about divorce, and now Fu Chengyi is coming after you. You're quite popular, aren't you?"
"Don't worry, even if we get divorced, I won't mention a single thing about our relationship to anyone else."
After all, they were secretly married, and almost no one knew about it except Bai Xin.
