Gu Zhiheng remained silent with a sullen face. From their conversation, Xu Yan could roughly guess that Gu Zhiheng had come to discuss cooperation with them. As for why they brought her along, it was probably to humiliate those two men.
She felt a chill in her heart; the person who had treated her so well in the past was now treating her like this.
The lewd man reached out and grabbed Xu Yan's sleeve. "Beautiful lady, want to dance?"
He really won't give up until he achieves his goal.
Xu Yan didn't want to pay attention to him. Just as she was about to leave, the man still grabbed the hem of her clothes, his cloudy eyes narrowed into slits as he looked at her.
She couldn't help but angrily ask, "What exactly do you want?"
"Don't be stubborn and ask for trouble. Everyone in this industry knows my name. Why don't you ask around and see what happens if you offend me!"
Gu Zhiheng's pupils contracted slightly, and his hands gripping the chopsticks tightened their grip.
Xu Yan turned to leave, but no matter how hard she tried to break free, the man wouldn't let her go.
"If you entertain me well, I'll give you money; if you don't, I'll make sure you can't even stay in this business!"
"What a boastful tone," Xu Yan thought to herself, rolling her eyes at him.
As if sensing her displeasure, the man suddenly raised his voice and said sternly, "What? You have a problem with that?"
After saying that, she tried to pull Xu Yan into her arms. She struggled desperately, but the man seemed even more excited and let out a lewd laugh.
"Let go!" she roared in terror.
Xu Yan looked at Gu Zhiheng with pleading eyes, only to see him sitting there silently, his whole body stiff.
The man pulled her even harder, and she stumbled, thinking she was doomed and was about to fall on top of him.
She closed her eyes, waiting for the pain to come.
But the feeling of falling didn't come. Xu Yan subconsciously opened her eyes and saw that she was lying steadily in Gu Zhiheng's arms.
Xu Yan was embraced by him, one hand hooked around Gu Zhiheng's neck. Those strong hands reminded her of Gu Zhiheng in the past. He wasn't exactly good to her, but he had given her a lot of security.
How did things turn out like this?
Lost in thought, Gu Zhiheng released her with a cold face, "Are you stupid?"
Yes, she's just silly, otherwise how could she have fallen in love with such a big idiot like him?
"President Gu?" the man asked tentatively.
"Why don't you give her to me, and I'll teach her a lesson!"
No sooner had he finished speaking than Gu Zhiheng kicked him hard. The man was in great pain and clutched his chest.
He stared at him wide-eyed and asked, "President Gu, what do you mean by this?"
Gu Zhiheng wiped the corner of his mouth. "My woman is none of your business to lecture her."
While Xu Yan was still lost in thought, Gu Zhiheng grabbed her hand and dragged her out. Gu Zhiheng walked too fast, and Xu Yan couldn't keep up with his pace at all. She stumbled and lost her balance, bumping hard into his back.
Gu Zhiheng seemed oblivious and continued pulling her forward.
Soon after, Xu Yan left the nightclub that disgusted him.
She forcefully pulled her hand away from Gu Zhiheng and roared, "Have you had enough fun? Can you please not bring me to these kinds of events in the future?"
"No!" he said, his voice drowning out hers.
Xu Yan was not intimidated by his intimidation. "You brought me to a place like this to humiliate me, and now you've brought me out. What, you want to take me to find another job?"
Gu Zhiheng's eyes were red. "Can you please stop making a scene?"
Making a scene? Did she make a scene? She was simply stating a fact. He was the one who brought her here; he was the root of everything.
