Chapter 407 will remain here.

"Isn't there you?" she said, somewhat annoyed.

Gu Yuan smacked her head again: "It's not like I can just say I can leave."

Whether he wants to stay or leave, isn't it all up to him? Or did he originally intend to stay?

"Could you take me home first?"

Gu Yuan immediately became unhappy upon hearing this. He pursed his lips and said, "Wait a little longer. We'll leave right after this is over."

Fu Hange was inexplicably annoyed, unable to understand why he was lingering here. Besides, given his current status, he could easily buy this place. Considering the many people present, Fu Hange refrained from saying anything and simply sat next to Gu Yuan.

It was almost midnight when she finally got back. Fu Hange first changed out of her clothes, which were covered in the smell of alcohol, and then took a shower.

After coming out, Gu Yuan was reading a newspaper on the sofa.

"Come here," he commanded.

Fu Hange did as he said, her eyes filled with reluctance.

"What? You've changed so much after I took you out today? You don't want to talk to me anymore?"

"Is there something you're hiding from me?" Fu Hange asked tentatively, hoping to hear some news about Bai Xin from him.

But he didn't mention it at all, instead telling her that it was normal to come back late when you're out.

This is utterly absurd! He came home late and is making excuses for himself. Fu Hange didn't want to continue talking to him. She got up to go upstairs, but Gu Yuan pulled her back after she took just one step.

She leaned back and fell into Gu Yuan's arms, where he completely enveloped her.

Fu Hange exclaimed in surprise, "What are you doing?"

"I just didn't want to see someone who doesn't know their place fall down at home."

These words were unpleasant to hear; it was as if she would fall down without him, as if she couldn't live without him.

Fu Hange broke free from Gu Yuan's grasp and ran back to her room.

She still vividly remembers what Bai Xin said tonight; she still thinks about it now.

Gu Yuan originally intended to find Bai Xin, but because she was not feeling well, he didn't insist and instead called her over to act as a shield.

The more Fu Hange thought about it, the more agitated she became, so she simply covered her face with a pillow and buried herself in it.

After an unknown amount of time, Gu Yuan entered silently.

He leaned lazily against the doorway, looking at Fu Hange with amusement, and said, "What are you thinking about? Are you embarrassed to see me?"

"Can you stop being so narcissistic?" Her voice reached Gu Yuan's ears through the cushion.

He didn't seem angry at all. Instead, he walked over and sat down next to Fu Hange, saying, "Who made you unhappy? Why are you throwing such a tantrum?"

Who made her angry? Fu Hange really wanted to retort, "Isn't it him?"

Then she added, "I'm sleepy. If you're not going to sleep, I'll go to sleep first."

After saying that, Fu Hange crawled back into the blankets, but Gu Yuan pulled her out.

Fu Hange roared, "What are you doing?"

"I want to ask you what you're doing? Who are you trying to impress by throwing a tantrum as soon as you get back?" he said, his tone becoming more forceful.

Fu Hange frowned and smoothed her hair, saying casually, "You dragged me there for so long, can't I just sleep when I'm tired?"

“But you clearly have something on your mind,” Gu Yuan continued.

She pushed Gu Yuan back, "Can you let me rest for a while?"

"I'm not leaving until you explain yourself clearly," Gu Yuan said, still standing there, refusing to give up.
