Chapter 424 The Impossible Man

Perhaps she's just that pathetic; even knowing it's impossible, she still clings to a sliver of hope despite being battered and bruised.

Fu Hange wandered aimlessly down the street, looking completely lost, her lips pale. You'd think she was a patient who had escaped from the hospital.

Fu Hange ran countless red lights, weaving in front of different vehicles, but none of them happened to hit and kill her.

She had no idea where she was going, and just walked aimlessly until she finally stopped in front of the Chenyuan Group.

Perhaps it was her subconscious that led her to find Fu Chengyi, or perhaps even God knew that Fu Chengyi was the only one in the world willing to take her in.

Fu Hange went in, gave her name, and soon someone came down from the elevator.

The man was Fu Chengyi, standing in front of her in a sharp suit. Fu Hange stared at him, slightly lost in thought. Like Gu Yuan, he was the kind of person you would want to entrust your life to at first sight.

For a moment, Fu Hange really wanted to throw herself into his arms and let him take her away so that she would never have to go through so much and suffer so much again.

She looked at Fu Chengyi, and tears welled up in her eyes.

Fu Cheng was startled and rushed over, asking with concern, "What happened? What's wrong?"

Fu Hange shook her head desperately, unable to utter a single word. She suddenly crashed into Fu Chengyi's arms, pressing her head tightly against his body, her head restlessly rubbing against his chest.

Fu Chengyi was much taller than her, and Fu Hange's suppressed sobs could be clearly heard.

For some reason, he felt a pang of pain in his heart. The woman he loved so much was now sobbing uncontrollably in front of him.

He slowly lifted Fu Hange's head, frowned as he looked at her and asked, "Tell me, what's wrong?"

Fu Hange just kept shaking her head, tears welling up in her eyes, unable to utter a single word.

Finally, Fu Cheng took her to his office, then put a glass of water in her hand and tried to calm her down.

He sat across from her and asked worriedly, "What happened?"

Fu Hange's crying had stopped. She stared blankly at the ground and slowly said, "He doesn't love me."

The atmosphere seemed to drop to its lowest point, and Fu Chengyi stared at her, unable to utter a single word.

He truly hated that the girl he loved so much didn't love him back, but instead loved a man who didn't love her, and that man used her love to hurt her.

Besides hatred, he felt mostly heartache.

The girl he had once pursued so passionately was now so vulnerable and broken by others, sitting in front of him like a piece of paper that would crumble at the slightest pressure.

Fu Cheng raised his hand, intending to brush away the stray hairs stuck to Fu Hange's forehead, but his hand retreated mid-air.

Who is he? Who is he to her?

He is nothing!

He has no right to get close to her!

He had been secretly watching Fu Hange. Perhaps in Fu Hange's mind, the person she met because of that drinking party was not actually him, not at all!

He met her earlier than Gu Yuan.

But she loved Gu Yuan. Love doesn't discriminate based on who came first; it's all about the initial spark of affection.

She was once an angel in his eyes, living a life full of radiance. Such a pure and thoughtful girl was ultimately no longer his.

But in Gu Yuan's eyes, she seemed to have become worthless.

This made him hate it! He really hated it!

It was a truly deep-seated hatred, etched into my very bones.
