Chapter 7 Connections are more important than talent

"Don't you women think it's strange? When a man suffers injustice and doesn't come to his aid, you call him a coward. But when he does come out, you say he can't handle it. Are you even giving men a way to live?"

Although Fu Hange was smiling, she could see through his thoughts.

"It's not that I'm not giving you a way out. My current honor or disgrace is in your hands in a single night! If you say you won't support me, then I can only grow old and die in the Star Orbit."

It's a 15-year contract, after all! That's enough time for her to have a child and raise it!

In Tang Yehuai's eyes, Fu Hange was too calm, much calmer than a few years ago. She was no longer the naive girl who only wanted to act well; she was ambitious and had learned to protect herself.

"What if I really stop supporting you? What would you do?"

The elevator kept going up. Fu Hange looked at the red numbers and thought for a moment, "Then I'll divorce you. Anyway, you're no longer of any use to me, so what's the point of having a husband? Don't you think so?"

What was meant as a joke was taken seriously by Tang Yehuai.

Seeing Fu Hange laughing so carefree and seemingly unconcerned about anything, she finally decided not to continue the conversation.

When they arrived at the president's office, Fu Hange followed them in: "What would you like to eat? I'll cook dinner!"

He paused for a moment, then asked, "Cooking?"

"Yes, I've been gone for four months, leaving you alone in the empty room. I feel so guilty, so I'm cooking today to feed you."

Tang Yehuai was completely amused by her, and after a moment of silence, he said, "We're not going home tonight."

"Why?"

"Welcome back, you just got back."

_

Tang Yehuai took Fu Hange to eat spicy hot pot, a food she hadn't been able to eat for four months while filming. So she ate until she was sweating profusely and drank a lot of beer, becoming quite tipsy.

In the end, it was Tang Yehuai who took her home.

The next morning, Fu Hange had to go to a public appearance, which was about a trivial interview.

Tang Yehuai answered all the questions the host would ask, including romance, dating, and his insights after many years in the industry.

In short, she vehemently denied being married and having no romantic relationship.

_

The interview started promptly at 8 p.m.

Tang Yehuai also came to the scene. He stood behind a curtain and watched with his arms crossed.

Fu Hange smiled slightly at him, indicating that she could handle this situation.

Soon, the host came over to discuss the script with her and said, "I'm going to ask you some questions about your years in the industry. You should try to play the victim, as pitiful as possible, especially mentioning the time when you were attacked online. That's how you can evoke the audience's sympathy, understand?"

Although, in recent years, not many people have paid attention to him anymore, so naturally he has no popularity. It's only out of respect for Tang Yehuai that they gave her an interview.

Soon, the lights and cameras were on, and with a gesture from the director, recording began.

The host, speaking in a loud and clear Mandarin, delivered a series of opening remarks with an extremely standard smile. Then, like a fool, he introduced Fu Hange's identity to a group of staff members below, and quickly put the microphone to her mouth again.

"Having been in the industry for five years, is there anything you'd like to say to yourself?"

Fu Hange tried her best to maintain a smile: "Connections are always more important than talent."

The host paused slightly, then asked, "Uh, could you tell us about the ** incident back then? Why did you choose to find someone to support you?"
