The moment the lock screen finally unlocked, Bai Xin almost screamed. She sent a text message to Fu Hange using Gu Yuan's phone, stating her current location and urging her to come find Gu Yuan as soon as possible.
After everything was completely finished, Bai Xin turned off her phone and looked at the screen with a cold smile.
——
Fu Hange searched everywhere, hoping to find any trace of Gu Yuan.
Suddenly her phone rang. She took it out of her bag and opened it to see the text message sent in Gu Yuan's name.
As if a string in her mind had tightened, she ran forward almost without thinking, flagging down any car she saw on the road and taking a ride to Gu Yuan's current residence.
The car arrived quickly. Fu Hange paid the fare and got out of the car immediately. She then asked the hotel for Gu Yuan's room number, thanked them, and took the elevator up.
Fu Hange followed the address in the text message and arrived at her destination.
Strangely, the hotel room door was open.
Fu Hange's heart suddenly leaped into her throat, and a bad premonition arose abruptly.
She held onto the door and slowly stepped inside. Her toes touched the ground first, then her heels, each step was difficult, she both wanted to see him and was afraid to see what was inside.
Fu Hange poked her head in first, then looked around. The interior was furnished in the most luxurious style. There was no fighting or other bloodstains. The empty hotel was deserted, and not a sound could be heard. It was deathly silent.
Fu Hange's heart was in her throat, terrified of seeing something terrible. Her footsteps were so light they were almost inaudible, her hands clenched tightly against her chest, her palms covered in cold sweat.
It took Fu Hange a lot of effort to reach the center of the room. Every room inside had its doors closed, so she could barely see anything inside. Fu Hange's brows remained furrowed the entire time, without relaxing for even a moment.
Her fear reached its peak, and Fu Hange desperately tried to bolster her courage. There were many rooms, but all of them were closed, clearly empty.
She mustered her courage and went further inside. After taking only two steps, she saw that the door to the innermost room was half-open, and there seemed to be some noise coming from it.
Fu Hange felt all the blood in her body rushing upwards and concentrating in her brain, causing a throbbing pain in her temples.
She leaned against the wall and slowly approached the room.
This road felt like the longest she had ever walked in her life, and her heart trembled with every step.
Finally, they stopped in front of that door.
Fu Hange swallowed hard, straining her eyes to observe every movement inside.
She gently pushed the door open with one hand, revealing a small crack.
As she looked closely, she saw that there were indeed people inside.
There weren't just people, there were two!
It felt like someone suddenly grabbed my heart. The gripping pain, that invisible, throbbing ache, can only be understood by experiencing it firsthand.
Fu Hange strained to open her eyes wide, her heart pounding, afraid of missing any of their movements.
Gu Yuan was sitting on the bed, looking out the window with a relaxed expression.
Bai Xin's pleasant voice echoed in the empty room: "Mr. Gu, how about we make a deal?"
Bai Xin then leaned over and got close to Gu Yuan, her lips almost ten centimeters away from his.
They were getting closer and closer... almost kissing...
Fu Hange abruptly withdrew her gaze, leaned against the wall, panting heavily, her hand covering her chest, rising and falling with her breath.
