As if she had made up her mind, Fu Hange picked up her chopsticks and began to eat voraciously. After just one bite, her lips became a little stiff. Out of respect for Gu Yuan, she gritted her teeth and finished eating.
Gu Yuan asked, knowing the answer already, halfway through, "Is it delicious?"
Nonsense! How could noodles made like this taste good?
It was already ten o'clock. Gu Yuan and she were nestled on the sofa when Gu Yuan suddenly said, "By the way, you don't need to come to Xu's or Mingheng anymore."
She was shocked: "Why?"
"Now that you've married me, be a good rich wife and stop running around all day. Don't embarrass me. Go shopping and hang out with your friends. A woman should stay away from the mall."
Gu Yuan rattled off a whole bunch of things, leaving Fu Hange still reeling. He wasn't letting her go to work? What kind of logic was that? She couldn't let Gu Yuan completely control her, so she retorted, "I don't agree with your point of view. Why can't women get involved in business? What's wrong with being a strong woman? Besides, those things you mentioned are things only little women do. I never shop."
Gu Yuan laughed instead of getting angry, looking at her with amusement: "Do you think you're a strong woman? You can't even tell the difference between a black cab and a white cab, yet you dare to confidently claim that you're a strong woman. In front of me, you're just a woman."
Gu Yuan's words instantly brought Fu Hange back to reality. That's right, it was indeed a bit of an exaggeration for her to call herself a strong woman in front of him. In fact, she was still quite feminine at heart, but Gu Yuan just hadn't noticed.
She subconsciously continued to defend herself: "But what you're saying about shopping for fun is really impossible for me. I basically don't go shopping except when I go to the office."
Gu Yuan seemed to have come up with a good idea. He crossed his long legs, placed his fingers on the bridge of his nose, and said in a domineering yet sexy manner: "It's simple. As long as you don't wander around, I'll arrange for someone to take you shopping tomorrow. You can use my card to buy whatever you want."
After saying that, Gu Yuan actually reached into his bag to take out his card.
He pulled out three bills.
He tossed it to Fu Hange: "Go ahead and swipe it, the password is my birthday."
Fu Hange stared blankly at the card in her hand. It was Gu Yuan's birthday, not hers. Isn't that how it is in novels?
Why is Gu Yuan suddenly being so nice to her? His attitude has completely reversed. Could it be that he's come up with another way to tease her?
On that day, Gu Yuan lifted Fu Hange out of the ditch. His emotions at the time were complicated, and he still couldn't explain them now. He was really afraid that she would die like that. When he saw her covered in blood, his heart trembled. He could never control this woman. Her impulsiveness led to the accident. The only solution he could think of was to keep her within his sight.
Even after returning, Fu Hange and Gu Yuan still slept in separate rooms, and both of them stayed up very late that night.
So when Fu Hange woke up the next day, she had already slept past noon; she hadn't slept that late in a long time. Gu Yuan went to Mingheng as usual, leaving the house empty and only her there.
Looking at the empty bowl on the table, she couldn't help but chuckle. Had she managed to win over Gu Yuan? Had she made him start to accept her? But she didn't quite like the feeling of being controlled like this, as if she were being watched even when she went to the toilet. She felt completely controlled, with no freedom or privacy whatsoever.
Just as Fu Hange finished cleaning up the dishes on the table, the doorbell rang.
Upon opening the door, a beautiful face came into Fu Hange's view.
