Same as before Chapter 179

She couldn't describe the feeling in her heart, only that she felt so tired, so very tired, and just wanted to sleep. The pain in her hand couldn't compare to the tightness in her chest. She didn't know what was wrong with her. She was perfectly fine this morning, but in the blink of an eye, one phone call changed everything. Something damp seemed to drip onto the back of her hand; she didn't even notice it, and suddenly, for no reason at all, she started crying.

Fu Hange couldn't remember when she last cried, and none of the tears she remembered were as dry as this one. She didn't know what she had done to cause Gu Yuan's sudden change in temperament, but she guessed it was related to the cooperation negotiations, though she had no idea what exactly it was.

Right now, she didn't care about anything else; she just wanted that inexplicable feeling to disappear as soon as possible. She ran back to bed, ripped off the bath towel, and instead of wearing the clothes Gu Yuan had given her, she slept naked, exposing her entire body. Perhaps that would make her feel a little better.

Fu Hange didn't sleep well that night, tossing and turning, dreaming of vague fragments of her time with Gu Yuan. When she first met him, he was an enigmatic man, willing to use his body to ruin her. When they met again, he seemed like a different person, yet unchanged—still as domineering as before, only less vicious. During this time with him, everything seemed to have improved; Gu Yuan was no longer so cold towards her, but rather showed more care.

She no longer kept everyone at arm's length like before, but what made all of that vanish overnight? In her daze, she seemed to see Gu Yuan's cold back and sharp eyes again.

When Fu Hange was awakened from her dream, the sky outside the window was clear and cloudless, a far cry from yesterday's overcast skies. Feeling weak and feverish, she lay on the bed, lost in thought. Perhaps it was because she hadn't covered herself with a blanket last night that she was in this state. Her mouth was parched, but she didn't want to get up to get some water. She felt incredibly tired, and she still couldn't describe the feeling in her heart.

After lying there for a long time, Fu Hange felt extremely uncomfortable. She dragged her aching body to put down a glass of water. However, her fever did not subside at all, her face was flushed, and she was still thirsty no matter how much water she drank.

Her head was spinning. She put on the clothes Gu Yuan had given her and went outside to knock on Gu Yuan's room next door. No one answered. She didn't have a room key, but she guessed that Gu Yuan had probably already left.

Indeed, Gu Yuan left last night. He has already returned to Mingheng. There are too many things at the company that he can't leave. As soon as he returned, Bai Xin immediately came up to him anxiously and said, "President Gu, it's good that you came back early, otherwise the situation at Mingheng would be very bad."

Gu Yuan sat in his seat with a cold face, flipping through the latest business information. He didn't mention a word about Bai Xin's phone call yesterday, nor did he say a single word to her.

Bai Xin hurriedly walked to his side: "President Gu, do you know how much this will affect Mingheng's reputation if it gets out?"

"I know." Gu Yuan remained as calm as ever.

Bai Xin was both angry and dared not say anything. Her face turned extremely pale, almost bloodshot. Then she sighed and ran out, leaving Gu Yuan alone sitting inside.

Fu Hange took a taxi back by herself. Fortunately, Xiangcheng is not far from City C, and it only took two hours to get there. The first thing she did upon returning home was to change into her own clothes. Wearing Gu Yuan's clothes made her feel that Gu Yuan was pitying her.
