Yan Chiling couldn't control herself and shouted into the communication talisman, "Let her go! Don't hurt her!"
Blood-red tears streamed continuously from Yan Chiling's eyes.
He couldn't believe that Ruan Xinrou would use the formation he created to deal with Bai Ying.
She even had her senior brother cut open Bai Ying's stomach to take out the golden elixir inside!

Yan Chiling shouted desperately into the communication talisman. But Ruan Xinrou ignored him; no matter how hard he tried to contact her, he couldn't reach her.
And here, he couldn't contact anyone except Ruan Xinrou. Yan Chiling's heart was instantly filled with panic.

He had no choice but to run towards the edge of the Cliff of Contemplation. He wanted to save Bai Ying.
But he was still being punished and had no way to escape. As soon as he dared to leave the place he was supposed to be, fierce bolts of lightning would mercilessly strike him.
Those bolts of lightning seemed to possess boundless power, falling with overwhelming force, each striking Yan Chiling with unerring accuracy. The intense shock of the lightning instantly tore his skin open.
The gruesome sight was unbearable to witness. He groaned in agony, his body trembling violently from the pain, every inch of his skin enduring the unbearable agony of this terrible punishment.
But Yan Chiling kept running outside, and even he himself didn't know what was wrong with him.
Why is he so upset? Why does he care so much about Bai Ying?
This seems to have become a habit ingrained in his body, completely beyond his control.
Immense pain overwhelmed him like a tidal wave, cascading down alongside the rolling lightning. After another thunderbolt struck him heavily, he collapsed weakly to the ground, his breath faint, as if he might be swallowed up by the endless agony at any moment.
Even so, he continued to crawl forward little by little.
Suddenly, some images he had never seen before appeared in his mind.
He saw him and Bai Ying picking up stones together by the river, and he saw him arranging small stones on the ground and then teaching Bai Ying.
Bai Ying studied very hard, but she just couldn't learn it.
He then said to Bai Ying, "It's okay if you don't know how, I will. I'll study formations diligently in the future, specifically to protect you."
Bai Ying smiled at him and said, "I don't want to. I want to protect myself."

She wanted Bai Ying to witness her fellow disciples treating her like this, and then to be driven mad with grief.
But now Ruan Xinrou intends to retrieve it herself.

Yan Chiling actually still wanted to save Bai Ying!
