Chapter 351 We'll cut ties cleanly from here.

Bai Ying stood silently in place, her eyes fixed on the absurd scene before her, feeling as if she were enveloped by an atmosphere of utter madness. A gentle breeze blew by, ruffling her disheveled hair.

It was Bai Di who repeatedly tried to kill her, and it was Bai Di who first suggested digging out her spiritual root. At that time, didn't that couple—her biological parents—also agree? Their cold eyes and the decision they made were like a sharp blade, stabbing into her as well.

But now? She was merely giving him a taste of his own medicine, doing what Bai Di had tried to do to her. How did she become a demon who wanted to drive her own parents to their deaths? It's as if she committed an unforgivable crime.

Just then, Zhou Ying's face contorted, her eyes filled with determination and madness. She suddenly plunged the knife in her hand into her own throat, screaming hysterically at Bai Ying, "Let go of Xiao Di, or I'll die here!"

The sharp sound pierced the sky and echoed in the silent surroundings. Seeing that Bai Ying had no intention of releasing Bai Di, Zhou Ying seemed to have gone mad, slashing the knife even harder at her own throat. Blood slowly flowed down the blade and dripped onto the cold ground.

At that critical moment, with a "whoosh," a small pebble flew like lightning, accurately deflecting the knife from her hand. With a "clang," the knife fell heavily to the ground, making a crisp yet jarring sound.

Bai Ying lowered her hand that had just flicked the pebble, her expression indifferent, quietly watching the chaotic scene before her, as if everything around her had nothing to do with her.

Suddenly I felt completely exhausted, both physically and mentally.

Despite Bai Ying telling herself countless times that she no longer cared about the two people in front of her.

But they are, after all, her parents.

She was the person she had longed to see again and again since she was a child.

She was the one who made her so happy and excited when she first received news from them.

She used to feel sad because she had no memories of her parents from when she was a child. She didn't know what they looked like, or how they loved her.

When she was alone, she would think about what they looked like and the scenes of her time with them.

But now, she suddenly felt that this was for the best; she no longer needed these memories...

Her gaze lingered on her parents, her heart filled with mixed emotions.

She would not let them die in front of her, much less let their deaths become her eternal inner demons, haunting her for the rest of her life.

Bai Ying's fingers trembled slightly as she slowly released her grip on Bai Di's neck.

She threw the white flute to the ground with a dull thud, raising a cloud of dust. Her gaze was icy as she swept over the people before her, her voice low but unyielding: "Get out! All of you get out. I don't want to see you again." Her voice echoed in the empty space, filled with endless weariness and disgust.

Zhou Ying's eyes widened in disbelief, her lips trembling slightly, as if she still couldn't believe that Bai Ying had really let Xiao Di go.

After a moment of stunned silence, she scrambled towards Bai Di, throwing herself into her arms and pulling her into a tight embrace, her hands gripping her tightly as if afraid that if she let go, Bai Di would disappear. "Little Di... Little Di... my Little Di..." her voice trembled with sobs, repeating herself over and over, tears streaming uncontrollably down her cheeks.

At this moment, she felt as if she had almost lost the most precious treasure in the world. The joy of regaining it was intertwined with the fear that followed, causing her body to tremble slightly.

Bai Ying also breathed a sigh of relief, his tense shoulders instantly relaxing. His first reaction was to help Bai Di heal his injuries. He quickly walked to the two of them, squatted down, and anxiously examined Bai Di's injuries, his eyes filled with concern and worry.

From beginning to end, they didn't even glance at Bai Ying again.

Bai Ying sighed softly as she watched the scene unfold before her, preparing to turn and leave. Now that she had obtained the Chaos Rift Hammer, it was time for her to leave this place forever.

She will never come back from here.

However, just as Bai Ying turned around, Bai Di's hysterical shout suddenly came from behind: "Bai Ying, what makes you so great!"

Bai Di's actions startled Bai Ying and Zhou Ying, the couple. Bai Ying had finally let Bai Di go, so what was she doing now?

Zhou Ying cried out, "Xiao Di, are you crazy?" As she spoke, she quickly reached out and covered Bai Di's mouth, her movements frantic and urgent. She looked at Bai Ying with unusual vigilance, her eyes filled with fear and defensiveness, as if Bai Ying were an unforgivable demon who would harm her Xiao Di at any moment.

But Bai Di struggled violently, frantically prying Zhou Ying's hands away, her hair disheveled from the exertion. She continued shouting at Bai Ying, "You only have the spiritual root inherited from your parents, right? Everything you have now is given to you by your parents. If it weren't for their talent, wouldn't you be just like me now? I am now the daughter acknowledged by my parents. What's wrong with me wanting your spiritual root? If it weren't for my parents, you would just be a Foundation Establishment cultivator like me!"

Bai Ying turned to look at Bai Di, finding it amusing: "You actually think that everything I have now is related to that spiritual root? No wonder you're so weak now. Someone like you who only wants to take what belongs to others without putting in any effort and wants to gain without working, that's all there is to your life."

She curled the corners of her mouth into a smile, but her demeanor was intimidating.
