On Friday morning, before the second class was over, Luo Qi was called out of the classroom by her teacher Lu Zhengming.
Before Luo Qi could ask what was going on, Lu Zhengming said worriedly, "Your adoptive parents are in the principal's office. The principal called me to ask you to come over. They don't seem very friendly to you. Be careful."
He waved his hand to signal Luo Qi to go quickly, but suddenly said: "Forget it, I'll go with you!"
"Thank you, teacher!" Luo Qi thanked Lu Zhengming gratefully.
He knew that Lu Zhengming was not clear about the purpose of Luo Xionghua and his wife's visit, but he might have judged from the tone of the principal's phone call that the principal's attitude was not very good, so he was worried about him.
Luo Qi also became nervous. While walking towards the principal's office with her teacher, she focused her attention on herself.
He wanted to use his precognitive ability to give himself a premonition as to whether this trip to the principal's office would be a blessing or a curse.
Unfortunately, the information conveyed by his predictive ability was also obscure and difficult to understand. He speculated that the reason for this situation was that there were many factors that could influence the direction of this matter.
Entering the principal's office, Luo Qi saw the somewhat portly and elegant old man sitting at the main seat in the reception area. It was none other than Principal Liu Dejiang. Luo Xionghua and Chen Xiurong sat with Luo Chaoxin on one side, while Vice Principal Zheng Xiangjun sat below.
Seeing this, Luo Qi knew that Luo Chaoxin didn't want to fulfill the bet and was going to default on it, so he asked the parents to put pressure on the principal. He couldn't help but frown, as this situation was indeed in line with Luo Chaoxin's style.
"Principal, I have brought Luo Qi here." Lu Zhengming reported to the principal.
"Hello, Principal, Vice Principal Zheng!" Luo Qi greeted the two principals and ignored Luo Xionghua and the other three.
Principal Liu Dejiang said to Lu Zhengming and Luo Qi with a smile, "You two should sit down too."
After Lu Zhengming and Luo Qi were seated, Liu Dejiang asked Luo Qi kindly, "Luo Qi, your adoptive parents want to transfer your enrollment from the school. Did you know about this?"
Luo Qi immediately understood the purpose of the three Luo family members' fight. He shook his head and replied, "Principal, I am now the head of an independent household. I no longer need a guardian and I don't have adoptive parents."
"Is that so?" Liu Dejiang turned to Luo Xionghua in surprise.
Luo Xionghua smiled awkwardly and answered, "It's true that he has moved out of the Luo family and started his own family now, but that doesn't change the fact that we are his adoptive parents." After that, he glared at Luo Qi with dissatisfaction.
Liu Dejiang nodded slightly and said, "The kindness of raising me for over a decade is truly indelible. Luo Qi, what do you think about transferring your status?"
"I don't know anything about transferring my student status. There's not much time left before the college entrance examination, and it's impossible for me to transfer my student status at this time." Luo Qi replied, shaking his head seriously.
"But your adoptive parents said that you and your classmate Luo Chaoxin have an irreconcilable conflict. In order for both of you to prepare for the exam with peace of mind, they hope to transfer your academic record to another high school. Are you willing?" Liu Dejiang continued to ask.
"Principal, there is one thing I need to state first. Although Mr. Luo and Ms. Chen were once my adoptive parents, Mr. Luo has personally written an agreement to sever all ties with me, so I no longer have any relationship with them. In other words, they no longer have the right to make any arrangements for me." Luo Qi looked at the principal with a firm gaze.
Hearing Luo Qi mention the letter of severance again, Luo Xionghua looked at Luo Qi with even more dissatisfaction. He had never expected that the legally binding document he had been forced to write that day by Luo Qi would actually embarrass him here.
Liu Dejiang raised his eyebrows in surprise. As a member of the upper class in Jianlin City, he thought Luo Xionghua's actions were very unethical.
Luo Qi glanced at Luo Chaoxin with disdain and continued, "It's true that Luo Chaoxin and I have a conflict, but before the college entrance examination, as long as he doesn't take the initiative to provoke me, I think everyone can still prepare for the exam with peace of mind. If Mr. Luo and Ms. Chen feel that Luo Chaoxin is indeed not suitable to go to the same school as me, they can also transfer Luo Chaoxin's enrollment from Shanzhong High School."
Chen Xirong couldn't accept seeing Luo Qi completely deny the request they had made to Liu Dejiang in just a few words, and even wanted to transfer Luo Chaoxin's academic record herself.
Just now, when Luo Xionghua and she proposed to transfer Luo Qi's academic record out of Shanzhong High School, Liu Dejiang was obviously about to agree, but she didn't expect Zheng Xiangjun, who happened to be present, to interrupt and say that the school should respect the students' personal wishes, which made the originally smooth process more complicated and made her very angry.
Now her anger was even greater, so she pointed at Luo Qi and cursed, "You're so ungrateful! Even a dog that's been raised for over ten years knows how to be grateful to its owner, but you're always against us. Not only do you disobey us, but you also deliberately make things difficult for Xiao Xin. You're simply an ungrateful person!"
Luo Qi ignored Chen Xirong's words that sounded like a shrew's scolding, but she couldn't help feeling a little sad in her heart.
After all, the woman in front of her who was losing control of her emotions was her biological mother, once praised for her elegance and graceful temperament. Now, for a son who was not her biological son, she had thrown away years of self-cultivation and willingly become a shrew in the eyes of everyone.
Seeing Chen Xirong's outburst, Lu Zhengming was worried that Luo Qi would start a quarrel with her, so he immediately spoke up to defend Luo Qi. "Mrs. Chen, Luo Qi was just making a suggestion. There's no need to curse if you disagree."
Luo Qi nodded gratefully to Lu Zhengming. This old class teacher was indeed a good person to deal with. If it were someone else, they wouldn't necessarily stand up for him and face the pressure of offending a wealthy family.
