As soon as Cheng Xiaokui entered the room, she was forcibly restrained by Si Muyang.
Si Muyang held Cheng Xiaokui tightly in his arms.
Cheng Xiao Kui pressed her face against Si Mu Yang's shoulder, she didn't move, just held her beloved man like that.
Tears streamed down her face uncontrollably, even though she was trying to control her emotions with reason, she simply couldn't.
She believed that the injuries she saw were only a small part of Si Muyang's injuries.
If he hadn't escaped death, why would Si Muyang have taken so many days to return?
In the quiet room, only the soft breathing of two people could be heard.
No one spoke, as if afraid that making even the slightest sound would shatter this rare tranquility and peace.
Cheng Xiao Kui didn't know how much time had passed, but even though she was now wearing two layers of clothing, she could still feel the heat emanating from Si Muyang.
She reached out and touched Si Muyang's head; unsurprisingly, Si Muyang had a fever.
She pulled her arm away from Si Muyang's and said, "You have a fever, a high fever! Go to bed right now! You have a fever, why didn't you tell me?"
Without saying a word, she pushed Si Muyang onto the bed and checked his forehead temperature again with her hand.

Cheng Xiao Kui said, "A fever can be serious or minor, it's not a joke. Have you been to the hospital? What did the doctor say?"
The next moment, she felt that her question was superfluous; Si Muyang's bandages must have been treated by a doctor.
Si Muyang said with a smile, "I've seen a doctor and all the wounds have been treated. It's inevitable that I'll have a fever, but it will be fine after a couple of days."
He knew how serious his injuries were; his wounds were infected, and he had post-operative syndrome. He knew he might not survive the night, so he broke the rules to see Cheng Xiao Kui one last time.
Cheng Xiaokui walked to the washbasin stand, soaked a towel in cold water, wrung it out, and applied the cool towel to Si Muyang's forehead to help lower his temperature.
She unbuttoned Si Muyang's clothes, still feeling uneasy.
Si Muyang held Cheng Xiaokui's hand and asked, "What's wrong? Why are you in such a hurry to take off my clothes? Honey, did you miss me that much?"
Cheng Xiaokui blushed and glared at Si Muyang coquettishly, "Who missed you? I just wanted to see your injuries."
At this moment, she couldn't care less about being shy. She always felt that Si Muyang was hiding something from her, such as the injuries on his body!
She insisted on stripping Si Muyang bare, examining him inch by inch, to see exactly how many injuries he had!
Si Muyang hurriedly said, "No! We haven't remarried yet! What you're doing is wrong!"

Si Muyang's actions made Cheng Xiaokui even more certain of her guess.
Unless Si Muyang has more serious injuries underneath, why wouldn't he let her see them?!
She puffed out her cheeks and glared at Si Muyang, "Are you going to let go or not? If you don't let go, we're never going to remarry! Go marry someone else!"
Si Muyang's forehead darkened. "Wife, I really didn't lie to you. Why won't you believe me?"
Cheng Xiao Kui said, "If you don't believe me, then don't believe me! If there's no injury down there, why won't you let me see it?!"
Si Muyang said, "It's not that I'm afraid to let you see it, I'm just afraid of scaring you!"
Cheng Xiao Kui said, "See, I was right! You're afraid the injury is too serious and will scare me! Get off! Take your hand away, or we're done. You're not allowed to even step through the door of my place anymore!"
