Chapter 13 An Ice Dragon

Yan Baibai felt the spiritual energy in her body again. She could clearly feel that she had broken through the final bottleneck of the foundation-building period. The energy in her body gathered together, constantly trying to fuse into a pill...

Yan Baibai summoned her life sword, imbuing it with her spiritual energy and a trace of divine consciousness. Then the sword flew out of her hand, swiftly following the trajectory of Yan Baibai's mind, leaving only a faint afterimage...

Controlling the sword with the mind is what all sword practitioners dream of, but it can only be done after reaching the Golden Core Stage.

In other words, Yan Baibai is now a cultivator in the Jindan stage.

But why didn’t the thunder strike?

"This is a place of thousands of flowers and wonders. The heavenly ways outside cannot come here to bring down thunder tribulations on you. However, as soon as you return to the outside, your golden elixir thunder tribulations will immediately come and strike you. Don't worry!"

Mo Li seemed to understand Yan Baibai's inner worries, so he answered her.

The surprise came too suddenly, and Yan Baibai didn't pay attention to the teasing in Mo Li's tone. She retracted her life sword, her eyes full of joy, and even her tone became much better.

"Mo Li, what you haven't been able to accomplish in the past five hundred years might just be due to a small foundation-building skill from me... no, a quasi-Golden Core cultivator. Let's work together to save your true form."

Yan Baibai looked more lively and radiant.

Mo Li was stunned for a long time, and the words of the old monk before his death five hundred years ago re-echoed in his mind.

"The easiest way to break the seal is to find a cultivator who is genuinely willing to help you. However, there are no human cultivators in this world. Even if you can find a cultivator like me who comes here to search for treasure or undergo trials, there is no way he will be willing to help you release a demon!"

After the monk's death, Mo Li tried countless methods, using threats and bribes, but he never found a single human monk who would sincerely help him. Later, he could only use the most complex methods to try to break the seal, but five hundred years passed before he finally gathered everything he needed to lift the seal.

"Well, maybe."

Mo Li looked at the little human and couldn't help but reach out and touch her head again.

Now that everything had been discussed, the two quickly left the stream, and Mo Li took Yan Baibai and flew towards his original body.

On the way, Mo Li told Yan Baibai roughly what he knew about his original body.

"My true self is sealed in the center of the secret realm, and there are many obstacles on the way to the center. I can handle the others, but there are some things I really need your help with, little human."

"Don't worry, I will do my best to help you remove the seal. When the time comes, I hope you can keep your promise, eliminate the life and death bond, and not hurt me."

Yan Baibai emphasized the last sentence.

"rest assured."

Mo Li smiled and made a promise.

In a short while, the two of them arrived at the top of a bare mountain. Mo Li put Yan Baibai down and stepped forward, forming a complicated hand seal. A water gate appeared in front of them.

"Little human, follow closely, it's very dangerous in there."

Mo Li half of his body melted into the water gate, and half of his body stuck out, extending a hand towards Yan Baibai.

Yan Baibai stepped forward and held the hand that Mo Li extended. Then her hand was held tightly, and then a heavy force pulled her towards the water gate. A second before her body entered the water gate, Yan Baibai closed her eyes reflexively.

There was a roar in his ears, and soon after, Yan Baibai felt the temperature around him suddenly drop, and goose bumps appeared all over his body.

Yan Baibai opened her eyes, and a world covered with frost appeared before her. What shocked Yan Baibai even more was that there was another lifelike ice dragon in front of her, even the dragon's scales were portrayed vividly.

"Wow, I don't know which master carved it, it's really a great craftsmanship." Yan Baibai couldn't help but praise.

Then, Yan Baibai saw that the dragon head coiled on the top suddenly loosened, and the closed eyes suddenly opened, and the eyeballs inside stared fiercely in his direction.

A powerful spiritual pressure rushed towards him, and Yan Baibai couldn't help but take a few steps back. Feeling the huge gap in strength, he couldn't even think of running away.

roar--

The dragon suddenly opened its mouth wide and let out a loud roar towards the sky. Even the air from the roar was mixed with wind and snow, and then fell from a high altitude, floating all the way to Yan Baibai's cheek, then melted and absorbed the warmth from Yan Baibai's face.

The entire ice dragon moved. The dragon, which was originally circling, slowly opened up, and the head of the dragon slowly approached Yan Baibai. Yan Baibai only felt colder, and even his body began to tremble.

The dragon head stopped an arm's length away from Yan Baibai, and then began to speak in human language.

"Hmm... a human?"

The sound seemed to come from eternity, striking the soul directly.

"Yes, I am... a human."

Although Yan Baibai was scared, he still silently changed the quantifier for himself.

"It's been a long time since I last saw a human. How long has it been? Probably over a thousand years." The Ice Dragon didn't care about Yan Baibai's little action. It sighed and continued, "Did you, human, accidentally stray into this place?"

"A thousand years, that's quite a long time."

Yan Baibai replied dryly. She didn't dare tell the ice dragon in front of her that it had used the wrong quantifier, let alone tell it that she was brought here by Mo Li. How could she not know that Mo Li was gone? The nasty guy didn't dare show up, so he probably didn't get along well with him.
