After great effort, Yan Baibai finally moved everyone into the cave next to the landing site. Just as she lit a fire in the cave, a drizzle suddenly began to fall outside the cave.
After doing all this, Yan Baibai finally had time to check on the people lying around in the cave. It was a strange phenomenon; everyone seemed to have inhaled a heavy dose of drugs and fallen into a deep coma, but she was fine.
Under what circumstances would a cultivator with cultivation become more vulnerable than an ordinary person?
Yan Baibai couldn't figure out this problem, or maybe she was tired, so she fell asleep in a daze.
When she regained consciousness, Yan Baibai heard footsteps and light conversations around her. When she looked in the direction of the sound, she saw the shadowy figures of everyone outside the cave. She was not at the cave entrance as she was last night, but in a warmer and flatter place inside the cave.
It seemed that everyone brought her over after waking up, and they were careful not to wake her up.
"Awake?" A slightly low voice came into Yan Baibai's ears. She looked up and saw a tall figure walking towards her.
"Fairy Wu Pin, what happened last night?" Yan Baibai sat up and rubbed his still dizzy head.
"We encountered a Soul-Eating Curse Bug." Wu Pin paused after speaking, noticing Yan Baibai's puzzled look. He then explained, "The Soul-Eating Curse Bug is a type of spiritual insect that can temporarily seal a cultivator's spiritual veins. It's very rare, and it's a pity we encountered one."
After listening to Wu Pin's explanation, Yan Baibai recalled some things in her mind. Her master seemed to have mentioned this insect to her, but it might have been extinct by then, so her master didn't say much.
It only took a moment to recall the past. Yan Baibai then asked, "How long will the seal last?"
"Not sure. According to the records in the books, there is no exact number for the sealing time." Wu Pin frowned deeply and then sighed.
Yan Baibai looked at it, nodded, and then had no intention of speaking anymore.
"We may have to stay here for a while. There is nothing to do at the moment, so you can continue to rest." Wu Pin said, nodded to Yan Baibai, then stood up and walked out of the cave.
Yan Baibai lay down, recalling the scene where Wu Pin frowned just now, and couldn't help but frown.
During the time she spent with Wu Pin, Yan Baibai always saw her frowning. There was nothing strange about it, but what concerned her was the frown and the long sigh Wu Pin let out before she left.
She always felt something was strange, but Wu Pin was right in front of her at the time, so she didn't have time to think too much. Now when she thinks about it, Yan Baibai finally knows what's strange.
Wu Pin, acting!
Yes, she was pretending to be distressed.
Thinking of this, a bigger question immediately arises - why did Wu Pin perform this act?
As Yan Baibai was thinking, her vision became blurred again. Just when her consciousness was about to fall into darkness, a light suddenly flashed in her mind, and then her eyes suddenly opened wide.
Hidden beneath Wu Pin's pretended distress was surprise and relief!
If everything that is happening now was done by Wu Pin, then nothing would be surprising, but Yan Baibai couldn't figure out why Wu Pin did this.
In order to find the answer, Yan Baibai observed Wu Pin's every move intentionally or unintentionally for the whole day, but she did not find anything unusual.
"You, is there something wrong?"
After being observed for the entire day, Wu Pin finally couldn't help but find Yan Baibai and ask him directly.
"No." Yan Baibai said while shaking his head.
Wu Pin: ...
Wu Pin could see that Yan Baibai was lying, but he could do nothing about it.
Yan Baibai knew that Wu Pin knew she was lying, but she knew she could do nothing about it.
The two men stared at each other for dozens of breaths. Wu Pin was the first to look away, but he did not leave immediately.
Yan Baibai decided not to hold it in and asked directly, "No one should be in danger of this accident, right?"
Yan Baibai felt that there was no point in pursuing the truth. What she cared about most was her own and everyone else's safety. If this accident was really caused by Wu Pin, she should know about it.
After hearing Yan Baibai's sudden question, Wu Pin's body stiffened. He quickly figured something out. The corners of his slightly pursed lips curled up, then quickly lowered again. He asked in a cold voice, "Is this why you've been staring at me all day?"
Yan Baibai nodded.
Wu Pin shifted his gaze to Yan Baibai's face again, and there was unconcealable anger in his voice: "Are you worried that I will kill you?"
There is also a trace of grievance that is almost non-existent.
Yan Baibai looked at Wu Pin. She didn't understand why he suddenly got angry because of her question, but she now knew that no one's life might be in danger this time, and she secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
"That's not what I meant." Yan Baibai quickly waved his hand, still maintaining the proper attitude: "We are all ordinary people now, and this is in the wilderness. I'm worried that everyone will be in danger."
Although he knew that the other party was not telling the whole truth, Wu Pin's anger was relieved a lot.
"Hmph, you can stay for three days at most. There are no giant monsters nearby, so there will be no danger. Don't worry."
Yan Baibai saw the other person saying this with a sour face, and knew that she was still brooding over the fact that he suspected that she would hurt her.
Yan Baibai felt that she was wronged. She asked this question just to verify her guess, but she didn't think as deeply as Wu Pin. Recalling the other party's protection of her when the spaceship lost control, Yan Baibai suddenly felt guilty.
