When people are dreaming, most of the time they don’t know they are dreaming, but occasionally they know very clearly that they are dreaming, just like Yan Baibai now.
The vast palace, the dark night sky, the lonely bright moon, the cool breeze, Yan Baibai was walking barefoot in the deserted winding corridor.
Apart from the sound of the wind and his own light footsteps, Yan Baibai could not hear any other sounds here. This place was like a dead place, without any birds singing or insects chirping.
It was night, and Yan Baibai could only keep walking forward under the faint moonlight. She didn't understand her destination, and as if she had received some kind of hint, she could only keep walking forward until she arrived at the gate of the tallest palace.
The door of the palace was closed and candles were lit inside. The faint light from the candles leaked through the window screens and merged with the moonlight outside.
Yan Baibai knew that they had reached their destination, but she didn't want to follow the plot. She didn't want to go in. She didn't like it here. She wanted to leave.
As she thought about this, her mind became clearer and clearer, and it seemed as if control of her body was slowly returning to her. Yan Baibai first controlled herself and stopped climbing, then nervously observed the changes in the palace.
Apart from the flickering candlelight in the palace, there was no change in the palace. Even the cool breeze that had been blowing on her seemed to have stopped.
At this moment, Yan Baibai suddenly felt a sense of crisis in his heart, and the source of the danger was inside the palace.
Get away, run away!
Thinking of this, Yan Baibai turned around decisively and ran quickly down the stairs. She just wanted to leave this palace at the top as soon as possible and leave this lifeless and ghostly place.
Perhaps it was because she was running, Yan Baibai felt that the originally still wind suddenly became much stronger, whistling in her ears and feeling very cold.
Yan Baibai knew she was dreaming, but she was still very careful when she ran. She had to run down a flight of stairs before she could reach the corridor that spread out to both sides.
Just as she decided to walk down the corridor in the opposite direction of the way she came, Yan Baibai suddenly felt her body become lighter. To be more precise, she was lifted up by a force. With every step she took, her body rose a little. After a few steps, her feet could no longer reach the hard and cold floor.
Suddenly, Yan Baibai was in a state of weightlessness. Before she could panic, a suction force sucked her towards the back.
Behind her was the highest palace where she had just wanted to escape. The moment she floated up, Yan Baibai heard the sound of the palace gate slowly opening.
She was still discovered by the people inside!
At this moment, Yan Baibai was like a person falling into the abyss, terrified and helpless.
Yan Baibai closed her eyes, held her breath, and all the muscles in her body were stiff, waiting for the moment she would land.
The wait was not long. She soon felt her back hit a hard wall of flesh, and then her arms on both sides were tightly held by a pair of big hands. As the suction on her body loosened, her body was hugged by the person behind her.
His body was quickly turned over. Years of experience taught him that he should not look directly into the eyes of someone he was no match for, let alone see the other person's appearance. So, Yan Baibai closed his eyes tightly.
As long as you can't see the other person's face, you shouldn't be silenced, right?
Yan Baibai felt that he was very clever.
It was quiet, except for Yan Baibai's breathing and the raging wind around them. One second, two seconds, three seconds... until a minute passed.
well?
Not injured or dead!
Yan Baibai closed her eyes even tighter.
"You..." the other person spoke in a low voice, with an inexplicable chill, like a ghost from hell: "Are you blind?"
How can this be tolerated?
Yan Baibai opened her big, KISS ME eyes.
But when I saw the person in front of me, the national treasure that was about to come to my lips was stuck.
What kind of person was this? His skin was pale, even his hair and eyelashes were white, yet he possessed a pair of extremely deep eyes, like an abyss; if you stared for too long, you would be sucked in. There was a small red mole on his strong nose, and his lips were beautiful but pale and too thin, but this did not affect his mysterious beauty. It was hard to tell whether it was natural or the result of a terminal illness.
"Heh~ So he's not blind." The man's lips curled up, but his eyes didn't show any smile: "But a little mute..."
Well, his tone was full of disgust, but he still held her tightly, with no intention of letting go.
"Who are you?"
Yan Baibai looked at the man in front of her. After seeing the strength he had in pulling her over from a hundred meters away with his bare hands, she completely gave up the idea of struggling and resisting. She knew in her heart that it was all in vain and might even provoke him and get him beaten up. It would be better for her to stay calm and ask for the information she wanted.
"Pfft, so he's not a dumb kid after all." But the man didn't intend to cooperate with Yan Baibai's questioning. Instead, he teased: "He's not a little fool, is he?"
"Who are you?" Yan Baibai endured and asked again.
"What do you think?" the man said, lifting Yan Baibai up so that she could look him in the eye with pride. "Who do you think...I am?"
"You look familiar." Yan Baibai looked into the other person's eyes, which were as calm as dead water. She could see her own face at the moment through them. "But I don't know you."
"How can you say you don't know me?" The man's face moved closer to Yan Baibai, and Yan Baibai could feel his cold breath: "Obviously... you know me?"
