Chapter 339 Reason

After Yan Baibai finished saying this, he saw Mo Xin, who was pretending to be trembling with fear, suddenly stiffen, and then the room fell silent again.

"Something's wrong! This demon obviously knows that the host isn't Mo Baibai!" The system also saw something at this point, and then asked doubtfully, "But they seem to want the host to think that he is Mo Baibai. What exactly do they want to do?"

"Just ask and you'll find out." When Yan Baibai saw Mo Xin's attitude, he knew that his life was no longer in danger. All he had to do now was to play his role well and see if he could get more information.

"Your name is Mo Xin, right? I'm asking you a question, so hurry up and speak." Yan Baibai urged impatiently, then said viciously, "Otherwise, I'll feed you to the monsters."

After hearing this, Mo Xin began to tremble with fear again. He stammered, "Miss, you went to the Northern Wilderness Snow Mountain to catch snow beasts some time ago, but somehow you injured your brain. The demon doctor has come to see you and said you will be fine in a while. Don't worry, Miss."

"So that's how it is!" Yan Baibai pretended to understand something, then muttered, "No wonder I still remember falling in the snow."

Of course, at such a close distance, her soft mumbling would definitely be heard by Mo Xin.

"By the way, why doesn't father come to see me?" Yan Baibai asked directly.

"Miss, the general is not in the city. Wait...you will see him tomorrow." Mo Xin replied.

"Okay, I don't want to eat this porridge now. Clean up and get out." After hearing this, Yan Baibai started to drive people away.

"Yes." Mo Xin stretched out his hand and waved the broken bowl on the carpet. A roll of purple magic energy appeared out of thin air. The magic energy swallowed up the things on the ground, and the carpet was completely new.

After doing all this, Mo Xin stood up from the ground, hunched over, picked up the tray on the table, and slowly retreated towards Yan Baibai.

When he retreated to the door, Mo Xin turned around and walked out of the room, but Yan Baibai inside the room called him again.

"Wait a minute!"

"Miss, do you have anything else to tell me?" Mo Xin's body was stiff for a moment, and then he immediately turned around and bowed towards the house.

"Why am I so weak?" Yan Baibai asked again.

"This..." Mo Xin hesitated.

"Just tell me, I won't throw you to feed the monsters." Yan Baibai arrogantly gave him the golden medal of immunity from death.

"Thank you, young lady." Mo Xin bent even more sharply, and then spoke without hesitation: "Young lady, you were seriously injured this time. The magic doctor spent a lot of effort to save your life. In short, young lady, you can't use your cultivation for the time being, otherwise your body will be in great pain."

"So that's how it is. I was wondering why I felt a little uncomfortable in my head." Yan Baibai's voice sounded a little tired. She yawned slightly and waved to Mo Xin at the door: "Okay, get out."

Mo Xin said yes and helped Yan Baibai close the door. After the footsteps at the door disappeared, Yan Baibai went straight to the bed and lay down.

Yan Baibai covered herself with the quilt and slowly closed her eyes. A quarter of an hour later, her breathing became regular and long.

"Host, I have been sensing that the power in the house has been withdrawn." Although Yan Baibai cannot use spiritual energy for the time being, the basic functions of the system are still intact.

"Well, we've been with Mo Xin for so long just now. Now can you see his perspective?" For Yan Baibai, it was not difficult to adjust his breathing to make people in the distance think that he was asleep.

"Host has been interacting with Moxin, hitting and kicking him. The connection has been successful, and you can watch his activities from a bird's-eye view." The system gave a satisfactory answer and asked, "Host, do you want to watch now?"

"Well, Mo Xin should have gone to look for Mo Baibai's father after he left. If we follow him now, we will probably know what their purpose is in doing so much." Yan Baibai would not believe what Mo Xin said and thought that Mo Baibai's father was not in the city.

"Okay, host. I will connect my perception with yours now." The system said as it moved quickly, and soon it connected with Yan Baibai's visual nerves. With one person and one unified perception, the system could share its God's perspective with Yan Baibai simultaneously.

As soon as Mo Xin left the pavilion where Yan Baibai was, he was immediately surrounded by a group of demons wearing similar clothes to him. The horns on their heads had been cut off, and they were obviously "eunuchs".

Among the demons that surrounded him, the quickest one snatched the tray from Mo Xin's hand. The slower ones saw the footprints on his shoulder and wanted to help him wipe them off, but were stopped by Mo Xin with a wave of his hand. Seeing this, the demons began to compliment him.

"Manager Xin, you've worked hard. Was this kicked by the young lady?"

"It's indeed Chief Steward Xin. Only you could have gone over to serve the young lady after she suffered such a serious injury, and prevented her from being thrown into the water to feed the monsters."

"Look at what you said. After all, Chief Steward Xin is the general's right-hand man, and the young lady also thinks highly of him."

"That's right, you're worthy of being Steward Xin. You always find a way to serve your masters well."

Amidst the demons' compliments, Mo Xin's waist slowly straightened up.

"Host, it seems that these demons don't know that you are a fake." The system quickly extracted an important message from these words.

After enjoying the flattery of the demons for a while, Mo Xin waved away the demons surrounding him and said, "Okay, that's all for today. I still need to report the young lady's situation to the general. You all leave."

After the demons retreated, Mo Xin walked quickly through one dimly lit corridor after another, passed through pavilions and terraces with strange-shaped plants, walked along winding paths, crossed a group of rugged rocks, and after turning a corner, the view in front of him suddenly opened up.
