There were two men guarding the city gate. Yan Baibai observed them carefully and realized they weren't cultivators, but rather mortals with relatively strong physiques. It made sense, given that a place where even a Foundation Establishment Stage cultivator could become the lord of a city wouldn't have that many cultivators.
The two entered the city smoothly. Yan Baibai did not immediately go to the east of the city as mentioned by the old man at the stall, but went to find a place to eat first.
At the dinner table, Yan Baibai quickly noticed something was wrong with Xiao Changhen. After walking for a while, he wasn't as listless as he had been in the morning, but he kept looking at her from time to time, as if he wanted to say something but hesitated.
"What's the matter? Tell me!" Yan Baibai slammed his chopsticks heavily on the table and became serious.
Then, she saw Xiao Changhen tremble, and then lowered his head silently.
"Tsk tsk tsk, another one who's afraid of women, what a loser!"
"That's right, a woman will become arrogant if she's spoiled too much. Sometimes she still needs some manliness!"
Yan Baibai heard a disdainful voice coming from the man at the next table. Yan Baibai shot a sharp look over there. It turned out to be a thin man with dark skin. The next moment after they met Yan Baibai's eyes, they both shut their mouths silently and stopped talking.
That girl's eyes are really intimidating!
If they hadn't quickly retracted their gazes, they would not only have received Yan Baibai's clever gaze, but also Xiao Changhen's warning gaze!
Perhaps the gazes from Yan Baibai and Xiao Changhen were too obvious, so the two men lost their appetite and quickly left the table and went downstairs. Since they were sitting by the window, Yan Baibai glanced down and saw the two men from before, only now they were each accompanied by a woman, who had grabbed their ears and dragged them away.
"Tsk!" The system, having seen everything, couldn't help but exclaim, "So I'm a henpecked man too. I love my wife, but I encourage others to treat her badly. What a dark heart!"
Yan Baibai did not respond to this matter. Her attention was once again focused on Xiao Changhen who was sitting across the table.
"Did something happen?" Yan Baibai asked again, this time in a much softer voice.
"I had a dream last night." Xiao Changhen raised his eyes to look at Yan Baibai and whispered, "In my dream, I forgot you."
"Hmm?" Yan Baibai was confused at first, then she remembered what she had said to Xiao Changhen the day she had the nightmare, and she understood: "Husband, do you think this is a nightmare?"
Xiao Changhen nodded: "Baibai, it turns out... having nightmares can be so uncomfortable. I never knew it."
Yan Baibai's mood suddenly brightened. The Buddhists once said: "From love comes sorrow; from love comes fear." Xiao Changhen found the nightmare unpleasant, but it at least showed that he had a normal emotion towards himself.
"System, check Xiao Changhen's affection for me." Yan Baibai instructed the system, but the next moment she regretted it: "Forget it, I'd better not check it. I'm afraid it will dampen my enthusiasm for completing the task!"
Everything should be based on one's own feelings. Yan Baibai made this decision.
"Okay, host." The system naturally listened to Yan Baibai's instructions.
Yan Baibai changed her seat and sat down next to Xiao Changhen. Xiao Changhen naturally held Yan Baibai's hand.
"Husband, close your eyes."
Xiao Changhen closed his eyes obediently.

Xiao Changhen opened his mouth obediently.
Then, Xiao Changhen felt something extra in his mouth, and then a sweet and sour taste exploded in his mouth.
"What is this?" Xiao Changhen turned the candy in his mouth with the tip of his tongue and said, "It tastes like orange."
"Well, it's orange-flavored candy. Do you like it?" Yan Baibai asked Xiao Changhen with a smile.
"Do you like Baibai?" Xiao Changhen asked.
"I like it, but there is only one left of this flavor. I'll give it to you. I hope you have a good appetite." Among the candies given by the system, this is indeed the only orange-flavored one.
"You can eat it for free."
Then, Yan Baibai heard a "click" sound, and a shadow was cast in front of her. She instinctively moved her head back, but a large hand climbed onto the back of her head, pushing her forward with force, and a warm feeling came from her lips...
When the sour, sweet and orange flavor exploded in Yan Baibai's mouth, all he could see was Xiao Changhen's smiling face.
"Thank you Baibai, I suddenly have a good appetite." Xiao Changhen picked up a steamed bun and put it in his mouth, eating it quickly. Then he picked up another one and quickly stuffed it into his mouth, followed by the third and the fourth. Xiao Changhen's mouth was bulging.
As expected, Xiao Changhen choked. Yan Baibai came back to his senses and immediately poured him some tea. Xiao Changhen drank it, but perhaps he drank it too quickly, he choked and coughed for a long time with his head down.
When Xiao Changhen looked up, his neck, face and ear tips were all red!
"Poof!" Yan Baibai covered her mouth to prevent herself from laughing out loud.
"Don't laugh!" Xiao Changhen's voice was hoarse and low, but it did not have any deterrent effect.
"Hahahaha..." Yan Baibai laughed out loud.
"Smile again and I'll kiss you."
Yan Baibai's laughter stopped, but Xiao Changhen's ears turned even redder.
After they finished eating, they paid and went downstairs.
What Xiao Changhen and Yan Baibai didn't realize was that there were two pairs of eyes watching them from a distance the entire time. However, they were cultivators, using a sleight of hand and a barrier, making it impossible for the two mortals to detect them. Furthermore, because they weren't displaying hostility and weren't mission-related, the system didn't detect them.
