Everyone arrived at the queen's bedroom, and before they entered, they heard the sound of children reading.
"I sleep through the spring night, hearing birdsong everywhere. The sound of wind and rain at night, how many flowers have fallen?"
"What is this?" Mu Li and Mo Xi looked at each other.
"You'll know when you go in." The emperor smiled.
When they walked into the hall, they saw the queen holding a child about two years old and reciting poems.
"Greetings to the Queen Mother!"
"Her Majesty, the Queen is well!"
After paying their respects, Mo Xi and Mu Li raised their heads and stared curiously at the little baby in the queen's arms.
The Queen smiled and said, "Li'er, Xi'er, you're back! This is my newborn prince, your younger brother. He's two years old this year!"
Mu Li walked forward in surprise and pinched the baby's pink face in the queen's arms: "Wow, so cute!"
"Woman! Don't be rude to this prince!" the baby said coldly.
"Pfft...hahaha..." Mu Li was stunned for a moment, then said with a smile, "Your Highness, please forgive me. I know I was wrong and I won't dare to do it again!"
"Considering that this is your first offense, this prince will forgive you. But you must never commit the same offense again!" said the little prince in a serious tone.
The others were all grinning from ear to ear when they saw this.
"Greetings, Father and Brother!" The little prince struggled to get out of the Queen's arms and saluted the Emperor and Mo Xi solemnly.
"No need for formalities." The emperor said quickly.
"Thank you, father!" The little prince stood up and looked at Mo Xi beside him.
Mo Xi also looked over with a gentle smile on his face.
The emperor said, "I named him Mochen, hoping he would shine like a star."
"What a great name! You are worthy of being the wise and powerful emperor father!" Mu Li was as supportive as ever.
"Congratulations, father and mother. Now there is no need to worry about no one to inherit the throne!" Mo Xi said with a smile.
"Your mother and I know that you are not interested in this, so you can do whatever you want in the future! Just help your brother when he is in trouble." The emperor said with tears in his eyes.
"Mother knows that you are all going to do great things, so I won't stop you. Three years ago, something unexpected happened at the engagement banquet, and I haven't been able to see your wedding until now. Now that you're back, can you hold the wedding?" The queen said tearfully.
"Your Majesty, Father, and Empress Dowager, I'm afraid this is not possible..." Mo Xi glanced at Mu Li and was about to refuse.
"Okay, this time we came back to prepare for the wedding!" Mo Xi was interrupted by Mu Li before he could finish his words.
"What? Really? That's great!" The emperor and empress stood up excitedly.
"Yes, Emperor Father, Your Majesty, we will ascend to heaven in half a month, and I'm afraid we can't come back casually. So I came back this time to prepare for the wedding with Prince Brother. "Ah?" Mu Li was stunned.
"You little brat, you dare to snatch my wife from me? You want to be beaten, right?" Upon hearing this, Mo Xi picked up the little prince and patted his butt gently.
"Put me down now! You actually spanked me? You embarrassed me in front of the woman I love. You're finished!" The little prince struggled.
"Hahahaha..." The emperor and empress laughed so hard when they saw this scene that they couldn't straighten their backs.
Mu Li also laughed so hard that she fell backwards. "Little prince, when you grow up, I will become an old woman."
The little prince looked unconvinced and said, "Hmph, no matter what, I am going to marry you."
Mo Xi glared at the little prince and said, "Don't even think about it. She can only be your sister-in-law."
"Hmph, sister-in-law is sister-in-law. When I grow up, I will marry a girl as beautiful as you." The little prince said in a baby voice.
Everyone laughed again.
In the following days, the palace was busy preparing for Mo Xi and Mu Li's wedding.
Mu Li's relatives also returned to the Mu Mansion soon. After the emperor learned about it, he specially invited them to the palace to discuss the details of the wedding with the queen.
Mu Li stayed in the mansion, surrounded by palace maids, trying on one gorgeous wedding dress after another.
"Princess, you look so beautiful in this dress." The palace maids exclaimed in admiration.
Mu Li looked at herself in the mirror, her heart filled with anticipation and happiness.
Mo Xi was not idle either. He was not only busy preparing various items needed for the wedding, but also personally selected a gift for Mu Li.
In the blink of an eye, it was the day before the wedding.
At night, Mu Li sat by the window, feeling a little nervous.
"Ali, are you asleep?" Mo Xi's voice sounded outside the window.
Mu Li opened the window, "Brother Crown Prince, why are you here?"
