Chapter 228 Three Keys

Mo Xi quickly dodged sideways as the massive skeleton hand emerged from the coffin. It grazed his body and smashed into the ground, creating a large crater. Mo Xi took advantage of the moment the hand retracted and swung his sword. A stream of sword energy imbued with the power of Hellfire struck the hand. Sparks flew, and a deep crack appeared on its surface.

However, the skeleton seemed unaffected. It let out a deep roar and slowly rose from its coffin. The skeleton stood several feet tall, emanating an evil and decayed aura. Its hollow eye sockets shone with a strange, dim light. With a wave of its hands, the surrounding chains flew up, wrapping around Mo Xi like a python.

Mo Xi's figure flashed, weaving freely through the gaps in the chains. He seized the opportunity and cut one of the chains with his sword. The moment the chain broke, the skeleton roared, and the remaining chains attacked Mo Xi even more frantically. Mo Xi dodged while searching for the skeleton's weakness. He found a rune on the skeleton's spine that was flickering faintly, which seemed to be the key.

Mo Xi concentrated all his spiritual energy, transforming into a black shadow and charging at the skeleton. The skeleton, sensing danger, crossed its arms, attempting to block Mo Xi's attack. But Mo Xi suddenly changed direction, appearing behind the skeleton in a flash. He plunged his sword into the rune on the skeleton's spine and twisted it with force. The skeleton let out a shrill scream, its body trembling violently, and then collapsed to the ground, crumbling into a pile of shattered bones.

As the skeletons fell, the evil aura within the castle gradually dissipated. Mo Xi continued his search, finally discovering a faintly glowing black key in a hidden corner of the basement. It was the Underworld Guardian Key he was looking for. Mo Xi carefully picked up the key, placed it in his arms, and quickly left the castle, heading towards the intersection of the three realms.

At the same time, Mu Li also came to the fairy palace again and handed the handwritten letter in his hand to the guarding fairy official.

"Can I go in now?" Mu Li asked.

"Of course you can. However, although the Immortal Palace belongs to the Immortal Realm, it is also full of dangers. You must be careful!" the Immortal Official reminded.

"Thank you!" Mu Li nodded and stepped into the fairy palace.

"Welcome to the trial ground!" As soon as I entered the palace, an ethereal voice came from the void.

"What? Trial? I refuse!" Mu Li couldn't help but get angry.

"Those who fail the trial will be expelled from the Fairy Palace! The countdown begins: ten, nine, eight, seven, six..." The prompt tone kept repeating in the void.

"Ahhhh!!! I'm so annoyed!!! Stop! What kind of crappy trial is this? Come on!" Mu Li shouted as she listened to the countdown in the void.

As soon as he finished speaking, a dense crowd of powerful fairy beasts appeared out of thin air in the trial field!

"Oh my god! I feel dizzy..." Mu Li felt dizzy...

Suddenly, an attack came head-on. Mu Li quickly cast a spell to resist. Then, more attacks came from all directions...

"Damn it, you're bullying the weak with your numbers, huh? Then I'll show you the might of my legendary goddess!" Mu Li faced the attacks of numerous immortal beasts without panic. First, she cast a purifying light, enveloping several of the faster ones, slowing their movements. Then, wielding her longsword, she nimbly moved through the herd, each strike striking a precise blow against their vital points.

A gigantic Qilin roared and charged towards Mu Li. Seizing her moment, Mu Li dodged to the side just as the Qilin was about to collide with her. Then, leaping up, she rode atop its back. She channeled her spiritual energy into her sword and stabbed it into the neck. The Qilin flailed wildly in pain, but Mu Li gripped its fur tightly, her sword thrust unwaveringly. Finally, the Qilin wailed and collapsed to the ground.

With Mu Li's desperate fight, the other fairy beasts gradually couldn't hold on and fell down one after another.

"They're all down, are we still going to fight?" Mu Li put away his sword and asked loudly.

After a long silence, a voice came from the void: "You have passed the trial, please enter the Immortal Palace!"

"Hmph!" Mu Li snorted coldly and quickly entered the Celestial Palace. Deep within, she discovered a hall enshrining an ancient artifact. Beneath the artifact, a shimmering recess sat a multicolored key. Mu Li stepped forward and picked up the key. After confirming it was the guardian key of the Celestial Realm, she hurried towards the intersection of the three realms.

In the Dragon Burial Valley, Mu Yang faced the dragon's attack. He quickly cast a fire spell. The raging flames coalesced into a massive fireball in his hand, which he hurled at the dragon. The dragon opened its maw and spewed a jet of black water, which collided with the fireball. The collision of water and fire created a tremendous impact, sending rocks tumbling down from the surrounding mountains.

Mu Yang took advantage of the dragon's attack and used his agility to close in on its body. His weapon transformed into a blazing flame and stabbed at the dragon's eyes. The dragon, sensing danger, quickly closed its eyes and shielded its head with its claws. Mu Yang's attack only left a shallow mark on the dragon's claws.

The dragon lashed out with its claws in anger, slashing at Mu Yang. Unable to dodge, Mu Yang was struck by the claws, his body flying like a kite with a broken string, and fell heavily to the ground. But Mu Yang didn't give up. He quickly stood up and once again concentrated the power of fire. This time, he compressed the flames into a sharp flaming blade, then, using the surrounding rocks as a light skill, he charged at the dragon once more.

Mu Yang seized the moment the dragon took a breath and plunged the fire blade into its throat. The dragon roared in pain, its body twisting violently. Mu Yang gripped the fire blade tightly, continuously injecting spiritual energy into it. Eventually, the dragon's movements ceased, and its massive body collapsed to the ground.

Mu Yang searched the cave where the dragon was lurking. Sure enough, under a huge rock, he found a golden key that exuded an ancient aura. It was the guardian key of the human world. Mu Yang put the key away and hurried towards the intersection of the three realms.

Soon after, Mo Xi, Mu Li, and Mu Yang met at the intersection of the three realms. They stared at the keys in each other's hands, their eyes filled with hope and determination. They knew they would use these three keys to strengthen the seal of the "Gate of Chaos" and stop the evil plot of the mysterious force...
