Mu Yang leaned closer to Mu Li, trying to hear what she was saying, but he could only catch fragments of what she was saying. They seemed to be vague and distant words, as if they came from the depths of some forgotten memory. Mu Yang's heart was getting more and more worried, but he was helpless and could only pace anxiously.
On the banks of the Wangchuan River, Mo Xi summoned several ghost officials who were less seriously injured and ordered them: "Clean up this place immediately and strengthen patrols around the Wangchuan River. If you find anything unusual, report to me immediately." After receiving the order, the ghost officials quickly took action.
Mo Xi turned and gazed towards the bottom of the Lethe River, pondering the origins of this monster. He knew this incident was no accident, and perhaps a vast conspiracy lay behind it. So, he decided to dive to the bottom of the river to investigate. Mo Xi cast a spell, forming a protective barrier around himself, and slowly descended into the deep, dark depths of the Lethe River.
The riverbed was filled with a thick, gloomy aura, and visibility was extremely limited. Relying on his keen senses, Mo Xi groped his way forward along the riverbed. Suddenly, he discovered a massive black hole ahead, from which a dark force continuously gushed. It seemed that this force was causing the unusual movement of the Forgotten River.
Mo Xi approached the black hole cautiously. As he approached, he felt a powerful suction. He quickly steadied himself and channeled his magical power to resist. At the edge of the black hole, Mo Xi discovered some strange runes. These runes flickered with an eerie light, seemingly maintaining the black hole's operation.
Mo Xi studied the runes carefully, trying to find a way to crack it. However, at this moment, a sinister laugh suddenly came from the black hole: "Hahahaha, Hades, you are finally here."
Mo Xi looked around warily and shouted, "Who are you? Hiding your head and showing your tail, what kind of ability do you have!"
The voice rang out again: "It doesn't matter who I am. What matters is that the peace of the underworld will soon become a thing of the past. You will all pay the price for your past mistakes!"
Mo Xi snorted coldly: "No matter what conspiracy you have, I will not let you succeed!"
As soon as he finished speaking, countless black tentacles emerged from the black hole and attacked Mo Xi. Mo Xi quickly swung his sword and cut off the tentacles one by one. But the tentacles continued to emerge, seemingly endless.
While fighting, Mo Xi was thinking about countermeasures. He knew that such passive defense was not a long-term solution. He had to take the initiative to find the source of the sound in order to completely resolve the crisis.
So, Mo Xi seized the opportunity, taking advantage of a gap between the tentacle attacks and dashing into the black hole. The inside of the black hole was in chaos, and the power of darkness pressed in like a substance. Mo Xi struggled forward, searching for any trace of the enemy.
Meanwhile, in Pluto's Palace, Mu Li's condition worsened. Beads of sweat covered her forehead, and her body began to tremble slightly, as if she were caught in some painful struggle. Mu Yang was extremely anxious. He tried to wake Mu Li, softly calling her name, but to no avail...
"What should I do? What should I do?" Mu Yang was extremely anxious and paced back and forth in the hall. Suddenly, he had an idea and thought of the plots in the time-travel dramas he had watched. He guessed that Mu Li might be in trouble at the level of consciousness. Although his cultivation was not as good as hers, he might be able to enter her consciousness through special means to find out.
Mu Yang took a deep breath, sat cross-legged beside the bed, and concentrated his mind, condensing his consciousness into a beam of light, slowly approaching Mu Li's brow. This method was extremely dangerous, and if he was not careful, his consciousness would be trapped in it, but for Mu Li, he could not care less.
As strands of pale golden light emanated from Mu Yang, his consciousness gradually merged with Mu Li's. As soon as he entered, Mu Yang found himself in a sea of stars. The surroundings were eerily silent, and the only sound he could hear was his own heavy breathing.
"Li'er? Li'er, where are you?" Mu Yang called softly. His voice echoed in the void, but there was no response.
He groped forward cautiously, and suddenly, a vague figure appeared in front of him. Mu Yang was delighted and hurriedly quickened his pace. When he got closer, he saw that it was Mu Li. Her eyes were closed, her brows were furrowed, as if she was fighting against something invisible.
"Li'er, wake up!" Mu Yang reached out to shake Mu Li, but found that his hand had passed right through her body. At this moment, some strange runes appeared around Mu Li's body, flashing with strange light, and constantly eroding her consciousness.
Mu Yang realized that these runes were the culprit that had put Mu Li in such a predicament. He tried to use his spiritual power to dispel the runes, but the runes were incredibly strong, and his spiritual power had no effect on them, like a drop in the ocean.
Inside the black hole, Mo Xi struggled hard against the forces of darkness. The surrounding darkness seemed to have life, constantly condensing into various terrifying shapes to attack him. Mo Xi's mana was greatly depleted, but he relied on his tenacious will to persevere.
Suddenly, a pair of blood-red eyes appeared in the darkness, staring coldly at him. Undaunted, Mo Xi gripped his sword tightly and charged towards the eyes. As he approached, a black-robed figure emerged from the darkness, holding a glowing wand.
"Pluto, you shouldn't have come." The black-robed man's voice was cold, as if it came from the Nine Nether Hell.
Mo Xi glared at him: "No matter what your conspiracy is, if you mess up in my underworld, don't even think about getting away with it!"
The black-robed man sneered and waved his wand. A black lightning bolt struck Mo Xi. Mo Xi dodged sideways and cast a forbidden spell from the underworld. A black flame spurted out from his hand and swept towards the black-robed man.
The black-robed figure remained calm, his wand arcing through the air. A black shield appeared before him, blocking the attack of flames. The two engaged in a fierce exchange of blows, a light flickering within the black hole, and dark power overflowed.
In Mu Li's consciousness, Mu Yang was still trying to find a way to save her. He looked around, hoping to find a flaw in the rune. Just when he was almost desperate, he discovered that the rune's light seemed to flicker with a certain rhythm.
Mu Yang calmed down, observing carefully, and finally discovered a pattern. He tried to follow this rhythm, using his spiritual power to draw the opposite pattern around the rune. As he moved, the rune's light began to flicker, as if it were being disturbed by something.
Mu Yang was delighted and increased his spiritual power output, trying his best to perfect the lines. Finally, a crack appeared in one of the runes, and then the other runes also broke, turning into tiny points of light and dissipating in the air.
"Li'er, wake up!" Mu Yang shouted. Mu Li's body trembled slightly and she slowly opened her eyes.
"Uncle...what's happening to me..." Mu Li looked at Mu Yang in front of her, still a little confused.
Mu Yang briefly recounted what had happened, and Mu Li looked at him gratefully: "Thanks to you, uncle, otherwise I really don't know what would have happened."
As soon as Mu Li regained consciousness, she felt the powerful fluctuations of magic power coming from Mo Xi. She was shocked: "Oh no, Brother Mo Xi is in danger!" The two of them immediately stood up and rushed towards the Forgotten River...
