Chapter 12: Feng Mansion Turbulence (1)

"So I've been suspicious and investigating secretly."

"No wonder...it turned out that she was murdered by her personal maid!" Old Madam Feng pondered.

"How has Wanying wronged you? Do you want to harm her?" Old Madam Feng asked angrily.

"Madam, please spare me. I didn't want to do this. It was my cousin who found something against me and forced me to do this..." Xianglan knelt on the ground and kowtowed continuously.

"What? It's Bijun? How could it be? Why would she do this!" the old lady said in shock.

"Old Madam, I originally served in your courtyard. Since you brought her back, your food, clothing and other expenses were all based on the standards of a legitimate daughter of a wealthy family. You also said that it would be better if the young master was a little older so that you could betroth her to him. You were afraid that the servants would bully her when she first arrived, so you gave me to her. Have you forgotten?" Xianglan raised her head and asked crying.

"I said that at the beginning because I was afraid that she would be hurt and depressed, so I tried to comfort her." The old lady said with a dark face.

"But my cousin took it seriously. She'd always dreamed of the opulent life of a wealthy family, otherwise she wouldn't have run away from her husband's family because they were poor! So from then on, she thought the young master would be her husband, and privately she always treated herself as the young mistress." Xianglan cried, "If we didn't do as she said, she would lock us in a secret room and punish us."

"Oh my god, it's just horrible."

"I didn't expect that he looked so gentle and weak on the surface, but was actually a devil behind the scenes."

"We were deceived by her for so many years..."

Everyone in the Feng family was incredulous.

"Until one day, the young master returned from his studies and brought back a pregnant young mistress. When she found out, she was furious and locked herself in her own yard, beating and punishing the servants. She also said that the young master could only be hers, and anyone who tried to take him would be killed!" Xianglan continued to cry, "During that time, the old lady rarely saw her, right?"

"She said that Tianxiang brought his wife back, and as a woman she had to avoid suspicion. I even praised her for being sensible and bought her a lot of jewelry..." Old Lady Feng said in a daze.

"Hehe...what's with avoiding suspicion? She's simply trying to break up the Young Master and the Young Madam," Xianglan said. "Even the Young Madam's rescue of me was orchestrated by her! That day, she deliberately beat me up so badly that I fainted on the path the Young Madam had to take back to the courtyard. And the Young Madam was kind enough to rescue me."

"That's how I successfully tricked the young lady into staying with her. She knew she was an orphan, brought back from the mountains by the young master while studying abroad, and that she was simple-minded. So she often arranged for her servants to spread rumors that you were going to marry her to the young master. She also fabricated various scenarios in which she encountered the young master, saying that they were appointments made by the young master, in order to sow discord between the young master and the young lady."

"How could Wanying believe it?" Old Madam Feng didn't believe it.

"The young lady didn't believe it, but she couldn't help but feel that I was your close friend. When the young lady first arrived and asked about you and me, you said that I used to serve you and was trustworthy, so she believed it. Otherwise, how could I have become your personal maid!" Xianglan said with a smile.

"You..." Old Madam Feng was extremely angry.
