The others took the human traffickers away, leaving only the team leader.
"Jiang Li, what are you going to do with these people?"
"Report it to the police!"
Jiang Li didn't hesitate at all. He knew that relying on the villagers alone would not be enough to find his sister. He had to report the case. Only the police could solve this problem completely.
"Okay, I'll run that for you tomorrow. What about your brother?"
"The human traffickers won't give up just like that. My brother still can't go back to the village. It's safer for him to hide in the mountains."
"Thank you so much for what happened today, uncle. I won't say any more polite words. If I ever become successful, I will definitely remember your kindness to me!
The captain looked at Jiang Li meaningfully. He was still the same person, but his temperament was different.
Jiang Li is more tactful in what he says and does, and more polite to others. He deserves his help.
After seeing the captain off, Jiang Li returned to his room again, but this time he couldn't fall asleep.
She tossed and turned in bed, the bed creaking, and then there was a ding-dong sound, and something fell to the ground.
Jiang Li got out of bed in confusion. She lay on the ground and looked under the bed. A small thing flashing white light caught her attention.
Jiang Li stretched out his arm and finally caught the little thing in his hand. It was a small jade ring, the diameter of which was just enough to fit on the little finger.
She curiously put it on her left little finger, but couldn't take it off.
Jiang Li was anxious. She pulled back with all her strength, but the ring stayed firmly on her hand without moving at all.
She got up again and tried the plastic bag and soapy water, but still nothing worked.
Where did this ring come from? Who wore it before? Is it destined to be hers forever?
Jiang Li struggled for an hour before finally giving up. It didn't matter if he wore it, so he decided to go to sleep.
After she fell asleep, the ring emitted a bright light again, gently enveloping her in the center of the light.
Jiang Li had not slept well at first because he was worried, but comforted by the light, he soon fell into a deep sleep.
