Chapter 36 Lying to Uncle

Zhang Guocai nodded. It is said that a mother is strong, and Jiang Li’s current thoughts are normal.

"So how do you support them now?"

"Uncle, I paint portraits of the elderly in the village, do makeup and hair for brides, and I do anything that can make money. I can support my younger siblings and my two children!"

Jiang Li vaguely sensed something, so she spoke with a firm attitude.

If her uncle came to help her, she would be very grateful. But if her uncle wanted to help her aunt take her son away, she could only sever the family relationship, throw out his things, and kick him out without mercy. This was Jiang Li's attitude!

"You did very well. Your mother would be very happy if she knew. Your uncle came here with no ill intentions. He just wanted to tell you something in advance."

Zhang Guocai told her in detail how Zhang Yuhua had invited the three brothers to dinner yesterday afternoon and what they had said after the meal.

"Uncle, thank you. Thank you for standing by me, thank you for understanding me!"

Although Jiang Li had long known that Zhang Yuhua would not give up and had prepared herself mentally, she felt much warmer in her heart now that there was a trustworthy person standing by her side to support and encourage her.

"I'm your uncle after all! Do you have a place to stay? I want to stay and take care of you for a few days."

When Zhang Guocai was young, he learned some skills. He worked as a carpenter, a bricklayer, and a bamboo craftsman.

He knows a lot of things, but because of his eccentric personality, it is difficult for him to settle down in one place, so he does not learn many things in depth.

Although he could make money to support himself with these skills, he would never get rich.

Now seeing the current environment of his niece's home, Zhang Guocai decided to stay and protect them, and renovate the house as well. At least the house should be habitable, right?

"Uncle, there is room at home, but..."

Jiang Li was too embarrassed to say that the bed in the other room had collapsed and there was no mattress pad or quilt on it. It was really not suitable for living.

"Which room? Let me check it out."

The eldest and second brothers might come to the house tonight. If Zhang Guocai decides to stay, he will be standing against them.

Although the relationship between the brothers was not very good, they did not break up.

After this incident, I guess we will never have any contact with each other again.

If it was just for Jiang Li, Zhang Guocai might not have been able to do this.

But for the sake of his two nephews and grandchildren, he decided to stand up.

During the time I stay here, I will also take a look at how Jiang Li takes care of the children. Is he capable of keeping these two children?

Jiang Li brought his uncle into the house. Zhang Guocai looked at the living environment in front of him and frowned silently.

This wooden bed must have been eaten by termites and is now empty inside. It's really not Jiang Li's fault.

There were no pillows or quilts in the room. I guess they were burned together when my brother-in-law died.

"It's okay. I'll go back now and bring the pillows, quilts, and food."

Zhang Guocai did what he said and immediately left the yard and went home.

Jiang Li looked at the pile of local products in the corner and wondered how to turn them into money.

You can make money by selling it directly, but you cannot maximize your profits.

If it can be made into a snack, the profit can be doubled.

It's rare to have so many ingredients, Jiang Li doesn't intend to give up just like that.

She started working immediately, peeling the bamboo shoots, washing them, cutting them into pieces, and blanching them in hot water.

Then she cuts it into thin slices and puts it into a porcelain jar, pickling it with her unique recipe. After a few days, you will have a jar of delicious sour bamboo shoots.

Huaishan can be made into delicious Huaishan glutinous rice cake, but you still need to buy some ingredients, and the price can double.

Jiang Li also planned to eat the wild fruits that his uncle brought. These wild fruits can be added to the yam glutinous rice cake to adjust the taste and serve as embellishment.

The bacon is smoked to a golden color and has a strong meaty aroma. Although this piece of bacon is not big, it is a gift from my uncle.

By the time I finished all these things, two hours had passed.

The two babies were hungry and were crying in the room, calling her.

Jiang Li quickly washed her hands and went to feed the children.

Goudan was too tired last night and for the first time today he didn't go out to play. Instead, he curled up in the doghouse, stretched out his limbs and took a nap.

Jiang Yi came back from school at 6 pm. He saw the burlap bag in the corner at a glance and immediately asked vigilantly.

"Sister, who came to our house today? Are Nao Nao and Zhuang Zhuang still here?"

"My uncle came over today and gave us some things. He also said he would stay with us for a few days. The babies are still here."

"That's good, I'm finally relieved. My uncle is a good guy. I really liked him when I was a kid."

When talking about his uncle, Jiang Yi's eyes and eyebrows were full of smiles.

While the two were talking, Zhang Guocai came over pushing a cart.

The cart was filled with various tools, with a back cushion, a blanket and a bag of food on top.

"Uncle, uncle, you're here. I'm so happy to see you!"

Jiang Yi went up to greet his uncle warmly. Zhang Guocai put his arm around Jiang Yi's neck and patted him lightly on the shoulder twice.

"I haven't seen you for a while. You look a lot stronger and a little taller. It seems your sister treats you well!"

"My sister must have been really good to me, even letting me go back to school!"

Jiang Yi patted his schoolbag, raised his head and said proudly.

Zhang Guocai was a little surprised. He hadn't seen Jiang Yi during the day and thought he had gone to work in the fields, but he didn't expect that he had gone to school.
