"Well, my embroidery skills haven't improved at all lately, so I've switched to learning to paint." Mei Shuwei lied without batting an eye, her brushstrokes flowing freely as she quickly and vividly depicted the appearance of the scars.

Chu Tiankuo felt a sense of emptiness in his heart, so he said, "Alright, Madam, you will come with me to the county government today. But the corpse is gruesome, so don't be frightened."
"How could that be?" Mei Shuwei smiled slightly. "I'm a woman who bleeds every month and often goes into the kitchen to kill chickens and chop fish. How could I be afraid?"
Chu Tiankuo was about to blush at his wife's bluntness when he was suddenly chilled by a faint murderous aura.
