Chapter 3: Trying to Seduce the Chosen One

She was still wearing that disheveled dress, only slightly tidied up.

Her collar hung down to her shoulders, and no matter how she tried to pull it up, she couldn't get it right. So she simply left it as it was, a standard that she, as a modern person, found acceptable.

The beautiful woman before him had her shoulders half-exposed, yet she showed no seductive charm whatsoever.

Her posture was as upright as a pine tree, and her steps were steady and powerful. She was so noble and dignified that one felt that even getting close to her was a desecration.

Li Ping and the madam exchanged a glance, both seeing astonishment and respect in each other's eyes.

Upon reaching the fourth floor, Tu Longjian covered his nose with his sleeve and said with disgust, "It's all smoky and foul. Clear it all out and get rid of everyone."

"This... my business? The girls have nowhere to go either~" The madam looked troubled.

Tu Longjian frowned in displeasure: "Do you think I can't afford to lose money on this little business?"

The madam hurriedly said she dared not.

"I have set up female soldiers' camps in various cities, counties and prefectures, and there are no restrictions on recruitment."

"Send them away there. They're all so delicate and flamboyant, it's annoying to look at them. My place of recuperation must be quiet," Tu Longjian said, glancing at her sideways.

The madam chuckled obsequiously, "You're so thoughtful! Sending them to be military prostitutes to reward the soldiers is also serving you!"

Tu Longjian frowned, too lazy to bother with the madam anymore, and sent Li Ping to drive the people away, without showing himself.

The girls in the elegant pavilion, clutching their valuables, wept as Li Ping's carriage took them to the west of the city.

I just heard Li Ping mention that the Princess was carrying out sweeping reforms and even established a female army camp.

Unfortunately, few respectable women went, because the common people actually thought they were being sent to the army to work as prostitutes.

Since you're using someone else's name to intimidate others, you should at least do something to make up for your meager conscience.

Since this brothel can't be stayed in any other way, it's a decent place for the prostitutes to go.

If they are determined to work hard, they may well achieve something great, or at the very least, live a dignified and comfortable life.

Whether she escapes midway, runs away to her lover, or returns to her old ways, that's none of her business; she'll just escort her to the west of the city.

She instructed Li Ping to tell the drivers to let them choose their own destination when they arrived.

Tu Longjian looked down from the railing.

In the hall below the pavilion, the geisha who had not yet left twirled and twisted their slender waists.

The courtesans nearby were playing lewd songs and singing, their eyes filled with seductive allure. The madam was about to call someone to tell them to leave.

The guests at the table looked impatient and shouted, "I'm sick of seeing these vulgar women all the time!"

Tu Longjian became quite interested; there was trouble, and a breakthrough had been found for escape.

The madam asked for permission to handle the matter, and Tu Longjian nodded slightly in agreement.

A moment later, the madam appeared in the hall.

She smiled knowingly and smoothly, but was slapped in the face by her patron.

"You're old and faded, don't flaunt yourself in front of me. Where are the real beauties? All you have are this kind of trash, what kind of business are you in?"

Tu Longjian's aura suddenly shifted; how dare he bully her employee?!

Oh, no, according to the plan to avenge the original owner and myself, I should be considered her ghost in the future.

That won't do; she has to avenge herself.

Although she is a formidable force in the business world, she has never treated her employees unfairly, which is why they have followed her from a small startup to build a business empire.

Thinking that all his life's work had vanished, and that he had been transported to ancient times with such a terrible start, and that he had to witness so many cringe-worthy scenes, he was deeply saddened.

If it weren't for her exceptional skills and daring, she would have already fallen into prostitution by now.

Tu Longjian's eyes reddened with anger, and she stormed downstairs.

Unexpectedly, she saw all the patrons present staring at her in astonishment, and one scholar-like man immediately praised her:

"Such a beauty, as if descended to earth, unforgettable upon seeing her, my life is without regret!"

Tu Longjian calmed down and touched his face. It turned out that the original owner of this body had a stunningly beautiful appearance, which could be used.

But a man looked over with a mocking and smug expression, and she secretly took notice of him.

Among the crowd was a man with sword-like eyebrows and bright eyes, whose head was shrouded in a golden mist.

What is that?

Suddenly, a mysterious feeling struck Tu Longjian, and she understood it inexplicably, as if she had suddenly realized something.

That wisp of mist represents fortune!

Gold represents extremely good fortune, receiving more treasures and inheritances than others, and being more powerful than others at the same level.

They can grow rapidly in favorable circumstances and turn adversity into fortune when they encounter danger; they are the darlings of heaven!

Could this not be an ordinary ancient world, but a fantasy world?

The feeling of being watched became even more pronounced, and it even seemed to reveal a hint of anxiety and tension.

Tu Longjian smiled, not wanting her to touch him, but she insisted on doing so.

In a flash, she retreated behind the drifting veil, deliberately creating the image of a beautiful woman as beautiful as a flower beyond the clouds.

A clear and melodious laugh captivated the patrons present, especially the one who had just caused trouble.

He laughed heartily, took out a gold ingot, and threw it to the madam.

"I knew you were hiding this from everyone. With such a beauty, why don't you show her to us? I've got her all booked for tonight."

The madam held the gold like a hot potato, on the verge of tears.

On one side were distinguished guests, and on the other was the royal family; she couldn't afford to offend either side.

The madam was trying to find the right words to refuse when she saw Tu Longjian nod through the veil.

His cold, ruthless gaze sent a chill down her spine, and she trembled with fear as she agreed to his request.

Seeing that his goal had been achieved, Tu Longjian immediately withdrew.

As they went upstairs, they encountered the man with the golden mist above his head from earlier, and the two walked side by side.

She looked up at the man's head with curiosity, thinking that the cloud of mist resembled a blooming lotus flower.

Hmm... then let's call it Golden Lotus.

Tu Longjian chuckled, drawing the man's sidelong glance.

When the man saw the beautiful woman smile, it was as if ice and snow were melting away. He felt as if spring was spreading all over him, and his breath caught in his throat.

He began to ask, "You..."

Tu Longjian flicked his sleeve and reached out his slender hand to brush against the golden lotus above him, only to find nothing as expected.

She wasn't surprised. Instead, she took out a small green leaf that she had hidden in her sleeve, and slid it down, gently brushing it across the man's hair and the downy hair on his earlobe.

Then she spread the leaf out in her palm and smiled sweetly.

"Young master, there is this in your hair. Let me remove it for you." The voice was clear and melodious, like jade beads falling onto a plate.

Then, without waiting for a reply, he leisurely walked away.

The man felt a tingling and burning sensation all over his body, and stood frozen in place, staring blankly at her figure.

He was awakened by a cold snort.

"Hmph! He's completely smitten by the sight of a beauty." The speaker was actually a woman dressed as a man.

The man snapped out of his daze and, with a mix of laughter and conversation, coaxed the young woman into a private room.

Tu Longjian stood in the shadows outside the window with an inscrutable expression, listening intently.

All that could be heard was the girl pouting and saying, "Brother Gan, it's time for us to set off for Huixian Town to meet up."

The man replied indulgently, "Lu'er, have you finally had enough fun? You've been clamoring to play every day, so I even brought you to the brothel."

Fang Milu said arrogantly, "Gan Xiuming! Don't you want to leave? Well, you didn't come to the brothel for nothing, did you take a fancy to that beauty from earlier!"
